Miranda’s gaze turned icy as she slapped Tina. 

The sound of that slap silenced the entire room. 

Even Tina was dumbfounded. “You How dare you hit me!” 

“Why wouldn’t I?” Miranda shot back. 

She added, “You insulted me first, and I’m just trying to stand up for myself. We’re in college, not your home. If you want to act like a spoiled brat, that’s your choice. But I’m not going to put up with it.” 

She found it absurd that Tina thought her past kindness was her kissing up to the Johnsons. 

Yasmine’s expression darkened as she interjected, “Even if Tina was rude, you can’t just hit her, Miranda. The school rules clearly stated that fighting and causing trouble can lead to expulsion.” 

Hank immediately chimed in, “Let’s go to the dean’s office and report her. We all saw what happened.” 

Theodore immediately rushed into the middle of the conflict and tried to mediate. “Hey, we’re all classmates. Let’s not escalate this. Calm down and settle this peacefully.” 

He added, “You know what they say–it’s better to make peace than to fight.” 

“Get lost, you hick!” Hank shoved Theodore aside. “Whose side are you on? You were quiet when I needed you to back me up, but now you want to lecture us as we head to the dean’s office to report her? You think you’re so cool now, huh? I didn’t know you were so vocal!” 

“I just… I want to avoid conflict. It’s not good for anyone…” Theodore stammered. He wanted to explain, but his words came out jumbled. 

He glanced desperately at Joli, who had remained silent, for help. 

Joli glanced at everyone, and his gaze finally settled on Tina. “Miranda is right. We’re on campus, not your home. No one will pamper you here. If you insult others, you should be ready to face the consequences.” 

“You-“Tina’s eyes widened in disbelief. 

Hank didn’t dare to criticize Joli, so he turned to Theodore. “Are you even part of our team? Why do you. keep siding with her? It’s like you can’t tell friends from enemies. If someone didn’t know better, they might think she’s keeping you around like a pet.” 

His words were harsh and directed at Theodore, but also indirectly criticized Joli. Even Yasmine frowned at the remark. 

Miranda remained unfazed as she turned to Madison. Their eyes met, and Madison understood instantly. 

She rolled up her sleeves and charged forward before Hank could react. After delivering two swift slaps, she immediately stepped back. 

Hank was stunned, and his cheeks were burning. “How How dare you slap me!” 

Madison smiled and nodded. “Yeah, I slapped you. Why do you all ask the same question after getting slapped? Is it a script?”
