Alpha’s Surrogate Chapter 54
54. His Vow.
“It seems, it is time for me to stop letting my heart beat only for you, Xavier,” “Don’t forget that you are my first in everything and that you will be last,” “I will only ever love you.”
Kiara confessed, then kissed Xavier on the lips stealing his heartbeat. The breath of a 6.3-foot-tall, once-rejected man had been stolen. Her declaration of love had astounded him. The day he had rejected Petra he had started to hate women. He had not thought about finding love again. He couldn’t manage to close his eyes, couldn’t push himself to kiss her back, and couldn’t forget what he’d just heard.
The young woman broke the kiss from his lips and buried her face in his chest. She was terrified of confronting the truth. She was scared of looking into his eyes, that she was sure were filled with hatred for her. She was completely aware of the contract and surrogacy from the start, yet she nevertheless crossed every line that had been drawn in the sand and had fallen in love with the man she was not allowed to love.
The Alpha looked down at his weeping mate, gently placing his hand on her head.
“Kiara,” she clutched his shirt so tightly that he felt her nails in his skin when he had called her name. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks, jolting her back to reality. What the hell had she just said? She
wished that this was a dream. A nightmare in which she would awaken only to realize that she had not
confessed anything to him. Especially when her idiotic stunt and love confession, would ruin her chance to enjoy a quiet life with her mate for the next three months. If she had truly said that and he had heard her then she would have missed out on making those memories with him.
“Kiara,” he softly called her again, but this time his arms slipped around her waist, startling the young woman. Was this when he exposed the other side of himself, where he was going to reveal the limits of what it meant for her as a surrogate in his life? Was this the beginning of an unpleasant reality for her of being despised by her mate? She drew back quickly, afraid of him pushing her away and accusing her of being a wicked b***h who used his pup to entrap him.
“I am sorry,” Kiara apologized hurriedly. Xavier watched her getting out of bed quickly.
“Please forget what I just said,” she wiped her tears as she studied her hands.
“I’m sure I’ve completely lost my senses. I didn’t mean to express my love for you. If I had the ability to go back in time, I would never…”
“Shhh…” Kiara gasped when Xavier appeared in front of her, drawing her into his arms, and placing a finger on her lips.
“The words from the mouth and the arrows from the archer never return,” the Alpha murmured as her rosy lips glistened with hunger.
“Even if you went back in time, I will never forget what I just heard. Even after I die,” he declared. The
young she-wolf’s terrified chocolatey eyes were fixed on her husband, who had a strange look in his eyes, one that she could never figure out. What had he just said?
“Why aren’t you ready to forget?” She questioned, his thumb caressed her lower lip seductively. Xavier just watched her body reacting to his touch. She continued when he did not respond.
“Do you…” Kiara paused, frightened of the answer to her own question, but she needed to know, since he wasn’t ready to forget her confession. His response was going to put an end to their relationship.
“Do you hate m….” “Ahh…” Before she could finish her sentence, she whimpered and closed her eyes. Xavier’s lips were
smashed against hers. What was he up to? Her body was hoisted into the air and leaned against the nearby
wall in a split second. They did not interrupt the kiss at any point as it had turned wild and heated. The young woman had forgotten everything as she wrapped her arms around her man’s neck until her lungs begged for air.
Xavier broke the kiss to allow her to breathe properly and to brush away the stray brown hairs that had been obscuring her beauty from his view. Her red cheeks might easily fool everyone into thinking he was being rough while kissing her, but his bleeding lower lip approved of the young she-wolf’s desire and passion. That was what had made her flush.
“Kiara, there’s somewhere I want to take you. Do you want to accompany me?” He wondered, still holding her waist and cradling her to the wall. He had not mentioned the location or area to her, yet his green eyes were eager and impatient to garner a response.
“Yes,” with a slight nod, she responded. Despite the fact that it was late, the young she-wolf had no
inclination to question where he was taking her. She was willing to follow him to the ends of the world as
long as her hand was in his. The Alpha grinned when he saw her eyes light up with trust, as he helped her
to her feet.
“Go and fresh up. It is going to be a long journey.”
Kiara washed her face before changing into a comfy blouse and jeans. She had no clue what type of place they were going to so she opted to put on her shoes before exiting the bathroom, only to be greeted by the well-dressed handsome Alpha. He was dressed in blue trousers, a red t-shirt, and a black jacket, giving him the appearance of a devilish vampire. The small suitcase in his hand was soon noticed by the young Luna. When had he packed that? How quick could this man be?
“Let’s go,” the Alpha motioned for his wife to step ahead of him as he opened the door. Kiara laughed as she hurriedly exited the pack house, where Xavier’s car was already waiting for them.
While watching his brother and sister-in-mate drive out of the pack, Alpha Zander had crossed his arms over his chest. He was standing at the window of his room. He received a message from Xavier on his phone only a few minutes ago. His older sibling’s departure had been announced prior to leaving.
“Where are they going this late?” Adira asked. His huge body had obscured everything from her view, Zander observed his little mate sneaking beneath his arms.
“I don’t know,” he took a step back to allow her to stand in front of him. They both stood there watching as the car faded away from their sight.
“Don’t worry, as long as Xavier is with Kiara she will be safe.” “That’s what I would like to think, but your brother is quite mysterious. Are you certain he isn’t
abducting my sister?” Before the Alpha’s large hands gripped Adira’s waist, she peeked over her shoulder
at him.
“Why is it you don’t give a damn about yourself?” Zander inquired, throwing her on the bed, then proceeding to crawl closer to his woman like a predator.
“I wonder how you’d get away from your kidnapper mate?” He smirked as he pounced on her for a kiss. They resumed their play. A big evil wolf and a little she-wolf.
“Do you mind if I open the window?” The young woman shifted her gaze to her husband, asking for permission.
“Of course,” Xavier responded by opening the window from his side as well. They had been on the highway for a while, the car filled with chilly yet fresh air in a flash. The night air was cool, but Kiara loved it so much that she was bouncing up and down in her seat from time to time. She had thoroughly loved the car trip the last time when they went to the Vampire Fort.
“What are you doing?” Kiara noticed that he was switching off his phone.
“I don’t want any disturbances,” he answered, tossing his phone into the rear of the car. The young woman chuckled as she took in the unexpected scene. The man, who usually could only be seen with a laptop and phone if no one else was nearby, had turned off his phone?
“I think you need to fill the tank,” Kiara advised, pointing to the gas meter.
“Yeah, let me know if you see a petrol pump,” Xavier said. A little while later, his car came to a halt at a petrol station approximately 2 kilometers away.
“Do you want some snacks?” Xavier pointed towards the 24-hour convenience store.
“Can we really buy something? Am I really allowed to eat inside your car?” Kiara was surprised by the news. It was past 2 a.m., and this man was truly fulfilling her dreams.
“Yes,” the Alpha handed over his card to her little palm before he saw her running into the store. He
let out a laugh while following her. How could this woman be happy with such little things?
Kiara grabbed a basket to put all her favorite snacks in one by one. Xavier had been watching her while trailing behind her.
“What kind of snacks do you like?” She asked as she bent over to grab her favorite chips packet. While eyeing her round ass, the big Alpha standing behind her was at a loss for words.
“I’ll eat whatever you buy for me,” he said again, subconsciously, as he followed his mate to a place where he had not anticipated her to go.
“How about this?” The young she-wolf showed two ice creams to her man.
“Are you sure you want to eat ice cream at this time?” He wondered, watching her put them in the
basket.
“Yes, I do,” she answered, handing the basket to him before continuing shopping for a few minutes before they sat and enjoyed an ice cream together.
“Why are you eating mine?” Kiara was perplexed, He had neglected his ice cream and continued to eat hers. She had failed to notice him doing it since she had been chatting, but now she had when she realized he had already eaten half of hers. His, however, was not even open.
“Yours tastes more delicious,” he replied, taking one more spoonful.
“Trust me, I feel like I am eating you. I love chocolate,” he commented further while putting the spoon in his mouth. Kiara took a deep breath and swallowed hard, realizing how seductive and provocative his behavior was. It reminded her of how he liked to suck her n*****s, it was the same way he was putting the ice cream in his mouth. She blinked, then hastily averted her gaze.
“Both of the ice creams are the same flavor,” she stated while staring down at her ice cream and placing a spoon in her mouth in an attempt to slow her heartbeat and act casual. Suddenly, she felt his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him before he pressed his lips on hers.
“For me, it is tastier, Kiara,” Xavier whispered as he licked the ice cream from her lips. Kiara smiled and kissed him back as she closed her eyes and let him eat as he pleased. When their kiss became heated and deep, any individuals surrounding them were completely forgotten. This lovely and sensual time in her life became one of the memories she would cherish for the rest of her life.
They return the car with the bag of snacks. The highway journey had to be continued. Only large vehicles were on the road, thus it was quite empty for speedy driving. Time began to fly by as Xavier and Kiara were conversing. While he was driving, the young Luna would feed the Alpha snacks from time to time.
“I didn’t know that you could stay up so long.” When it got close to 5:00 a.m, Xavier was surprised that she hadn’t complained about the length of the road trip or that, like other women, complained about their back pain and lack of sleep.
“Project work, assignments, examinations, and late night study teach you everything,” the young woman explained as she enumerated the struggles of a student’s life. Xavier chuckled and shook his head.
They chatted about her academic achievements, particularly in arithmetic, which she struggles with. When Xavier stopped getting snacks from Kiara after a while, he turned to peek at her face, only to discover she had already fallen asleep.
She had tried her hardest not to fall asleep while he was driving, which would be considered rude, but in the end deep slumber had drawn her in. Her favorite chips packet was still in her hand, which he took away, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder.
The rising sun peeked out of the sky as it was the beginning of the full moon day. It had started.
The Luna yawned and cautiously opened her eyes, only to find herself in a new surroundings. After rolling her body on the warm, cozy surface, where was she?
She sat up startled, surprised to find herself in a cozy bed. Was this a bed? Hadn’t she been with her mate in the car? How had she ended up in such a lovely room, but was it someone else’s? She initially sensed danger when she put her foot on the floor, but when she inhaled Xavier’s whiskey and orange scent, she bolted out of the room.
“Oh my Goddess!” the Luna was taken aback when she discovered that she was on a yacht. She continued walking until she realized she was surrounded by nothing but the open sea.
“You wake up,” Xavier’s voice from behind her. She turned around to find her Alpha approaching her, bringing a glass of fresh juice for her and a glass of wine for himself.
“Xavier, am I dreaming? Are we really on a yacht? Surrounded by the ocean?
“It’s not a dream,” he confirmed by passing her the glass of juice. Her chocolaty eyes remained wide as he sat her down on a deck chair.
“I still can’t believe I am here,” she murmured while taking a sip.
“I’ve always wanted to see the endless sea, and today my dream has come true…” she paused, returning her gaze to Xavier, remembering that she had once shared her desire to see the sea with
him.
“Did you… Do you remember my dream? Did you bring me here because I wanted to see the ocean,” she questioned. When he smiled at her, it filled her heart with warmth and affection.
“I remember every little thing about you, Kiara,” Xavier revealed. His emerald gaze was fixed on hers while they exchanged smiles, she felt butterflies in her stomach.
“Come here,” he guided her to the railing so that she could view the variety of gorgeous sea creatures that piqued her curiosity while holding each other’s hands. She could see everything since the water was clear.
