Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 49

When we finally got out of the hospital that morning, we went downstairs to the rental car that they were driving now. I guess they gave the other car back to Dean, which was for the best.

Tristan was driving and I was in the passenger seat while Nathan was sitting in the seat right behind me.

We drove across town and we pulled up outside a high school and I got out to look up at the building.

I had a lot of memories at this school. And not too many of them were good. I didn’t have any friends here. But I had bullies here as well.

The guys got out of the car and Nathan stood behind me with his arms around my waist while Tristan leaned next to us on the car.

“I don’t even know why the hell we came here.” I admitted.

“Bad memories?” Tristan asked. And I nodded my head. That was an understatement. They were more than bad memories.

I then heard a familiar voice ringing out from out the front of the building and I saw that there were still a few students around. I don’t know how I was able to miss them before.

But this one bitch that was talking to me walked up towards me in a cheerleader uniform and all of her friends were wearing the same outfit.

“Oh great. The Queen bitch herself.” I said.

“Well, if it isn’t little Ella the weirdo. Coming back to school here, are you?” Jane said. And I started to feel really uncomfortable in Nathan’s arms, but no matter how much I squirmed he wasn’t going to let go of me.

Tristan stood up straight as well while he stayed by my side and I grabbed his arm to stop him from scaring a couple of teenage humans.

Jane definitely noticed Nathan’s arms around me and my eyes pleading with Tristan not to lose his temper. And I guess it was just more fuel for her.

“What the hell are a couple of hunks like you doing with a freak like Ella who talks to herself? You know that’s why she transferred schools. Because she has a little voice in her head and we all know it. She’s crazy.” Jane said.

But the twins just looked at each other and I looked down at the ground, not wanting to look at her right now.

The twins know that the voice is Ava, but it’s not like I can tell them that.

“Ella was right about this school. The cheerleaders here really are butt ugly. Oh and if you don’t disappear in the next two seconds I’m sure we can find something on you that would make you look just as stupid.” Tristan threatened.

“I doubt it.” Jane said.

“Really? You always teased me because I never had a father. That’s because he didn’t know I existed. Meanwhile your father lives in the same house and doesn’t even know that you exist. How does that make you better than me?” I asked. And she looked at me as she started turning red in the face. Probably wondering how the hell I knew that. But I knew a lot that they didn’t think I did.

They teased me. But they also didn’t notice me a lot of the time. Especially when they were having their little private talks around school.

They were always so desperate to put my private life on display, but no one ever did it with theirs. I guess it was about time.

“And what about your brother who used to play for the football team around here? Is he still in jail for cooking meth?” I asked.

I could feel Nathan silently laughing behind me as he buried his head into my hair so no one else could see him but Jane was really humiliated by the spectacle that she had caused that she turned around and stormed off.

Her friends looked at me and the twins for a moment before they took off as well. Trying to catch up with Jane.

“Okay. That didn’t really suck.” I said.

“You have to teach us how you gather information on people like that. Because that was fucking great.” Tristan laughed. But I just shook my head. There wasn’t a secret to it. I just overheard a lot of stuff and I never said anything to anyone about it before.
