Sara and I started growing a lot closer during the rest of the holidays. We would both go shopping together in whatever clothing stores were closest to us and we were actually starting to get along like true sisters. Well, sisters that didn’t live together and get on each other’s nerves.
We were playfully bickering with each other and we decided that we were going to pick out clothes for each other that we thought would look good on each other and we were having a lot of fun doing it.
“What about this one?” Sara asked, showing me a floral short that I really didn’t like.
“No. I don’t think so.” I said. And she started laughing.
“What about this?” She asked, holding up a flower power shirt.
“Are you deliberately picking things that you know I’ll hate? Because I’ll do the same to you if you want.” I threatened and she started laughing.
“Alright. I’ll stop now.” She said.
“Man, I never knew having a little sister would be so annoying.” I said. And she feigned heartache when I said that.
While we were at the check out getting ready to pay for it, I saw Leia walk in with her friends. I let out a sigh before I waited for something to happen.
Sara was standing right beside me and she knew all about Leia and everything that she was doing to me. And I knew that Sara didn’t like her either.
But as soon as Leia saw me there her face went all different shades of red.
“What the fuck are you doing back here? You told me that you were leaving.” Leia growled through gritted teeth.
“I did leave. Now I’m back.” I said, trying not to show her any kind of fear. If she did touch me then she’d have to answer to the twins. And I think she might finally understand that.
“Alpha Robert will never accept you as his son’s mate. He will never accept you as the pack Luna. He will never allow a weak human in this pack. I am warning you Ella, you better leave and do it soon.” Leia threatened me.
I knew that I was no match for her. She was a lot stronger than me and I didn’t want to do anything to set her off into one of the rages where I ended up all black and blue.
“How dare you speak to the white wolf like that.” Sara yelled at Leia.
“Sara.” I warned her. And she quickly put her hands over her mouth. I know she didn’t mean to say it, but now it was out in the open.
“What? No way. She’s human. She’s not a white wolf. She doesn’t have a werewolf scent, unlike you. I know that you smell like an Alpha wolf.” Leia said, looking at Sara. Sara was about to say something else when I pulled her back and I stood between them.
I turned to look at Sara and I gave her a warning look. I told her not to say anything else. So she nodded her head. So I turned back to Leia.
“You honestly haven’t heard shit Leia. The twins found me and they brought me back. They did that all on their own. I’m living with them now and they are preparing to take me as the Luna. So, maybe you should prepare yourself as well, because I will be managing the pack affairs from now on.” I warned her.
“I don’t believe that for one second. Tristan would never accept anyone like you.” She said.
“No. He would never accept you. No wolf can resist their mate forever. And you are aware that I am their mate, aren’t you?” I asked.
Leia looked around angrily for a moment before she turned around and she pushed her friends out of the way before she stormed out of the store.
