Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 88

As I made my way through the quiet, shadowy streets, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. There were a lot of things that were weighing on my chest, like what would happen to me? What would Sara do, she was strong. I knew that, but she was still alone.

And how scared a lonely person could get, I could understand that well. I once was that person.

The air was heavy, thick with tension, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was walking straight into a trap. But I had no choice. I needed answers, and Ryan was the only one who could give them to me.

When I reached the abandoned warehouse where we agreed to meet, I hesitated at the door. For a split second, doubt clawed at me. What if Sara was right? What if this was all a setup? But I pushed the thought aside and stepped inside.

In the eerie silence, Ryan was present, standing near a broken window, his silhouette framed by the faint moonlight. He turned when he heard me approach, his expression guarded.

"You came," he said, his voice low, almost relieved.

"I didn’t have much of a choice," I replied, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of danger. "You said you had information."

“I definitely do.” He said and moved toward me, and I unconsciously took a step back.

He noticed my behavior and raised his hands in surrender.

“Hey, I mean no harm. Trust me.” he said.

“In our world trust is a luxury and a rare thing.” I replied, keeping my eyes guarded.

“And one cannot have it without proving his worth.” He said, and there was something in his eyes that made him different from his father.

We stood there in silence for a moment, and it was suffocating for me.

I cleared my throat and asked him what I really wanted.

“You said you wanted to tell me something.” I said.

His expressions changed in a moment.

“Yes, I have something that I wanted to tell you. But,” he trailed off, as if he was afraid to tell me.

“But what? You asked me to meet you so that you can tell me and now you are hesitating. I only came here to know more about white wolves. And now if you want to back out then it’s better that I leave first.” I snapped at him.

He was startled for a moment and said in a hurry. “No, no, no. That’s not what I meant . I do have information and I really want to help you but I am afraid.”

I frowned, “Afraid? For what?”
