Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 90

The room was once again silent.

"But why tell me this?" I asked, my voice small, shaky. "If he’s this dangerous, why betray him?"

Ryan lowered his shirt, stepping back, and for a moment, he seemed lost. "Because I can’t be a part of it anymore," he said quietly. "I can’t watch him destroy everything. He’s willing to sacrifice our entire way of life, tear apart the packs, just to secure his place at the top."

“This is all so confusing.” I exclaimed and paced around the room.

I looked at Ryan, his expression unreadable as if he was closing up to me. He no longer desired to be known or seen by me, and this was not a good sign.

I wanted him to be true to me, because if there was even a one percent chance that he was playing me, I would back down.

“So there is Alpha Rambo who wants to kill me because white wolf has the power to unify all the packs and that endangers his position and his pack’s position. And for that he is taking the help of a witch. Am I correct?” I asked, hoping that Ryan would understand.

Ryan’s eyes flickered with something I couldn’t quite read—pain, maybe. “He’s working with a witch. Dark magic. She’s been enhancing his power, making him... stronger than any wolf should be.”

My stomach twisted. A witch? Magic? This was worse than I thought. “Why are you telling me this now?”

“Because you need to understand what he’s capable of.” Ryan’s voice dropped even lower, almost a growl. “I’ve been part of it, Ella. I didn’t have a choice. He used me as an experiment.”

I stared at him, disbelief settling in like a cold chill. “What do you mean, ‘experiment’?”

He let out a bitter laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. “He needed a subject for his little tests, and I was the unlucky bastard who survived. The witch... she pumped me full of toxins. Poisons that are deadly to wolves. They tried different mixtures, different dosages, seeing what my body could handle.”

My heart pounded in my chest. “How are you still alive?”

“I’m not sure.” His voice was hollow. “But it’s killing me slowly. Every day I feel it... like something’s burning inside me, eating away at whatever’s left. I’ve been enduring it for months.”

“Oh goddess. Why didn’t you tell anyone?” I asked.

“There was no one. No one strong enough to help me. Everyone is my father’s minions. They all just want to stick up to him. IT was always him. And do you really think any father would give his son for these dangerous experiments. But he did. This proves how much he loves me.”

I looked at Rayan with broken expressions. This was disheartening to even listen and Ryan went through all of these horrors alone.

“It doesn’t matter now.” His voice was raw, filled with a mix of anger and resignation. “But now my father is too close. He’s nearly perfected whatever he’s planning, and when he does, no one will be able to stop him. That’s why I came to you. I can help you deal with this, but I need something in return.”
