Chen Yuya turned to look at her plastic girlfriends who were standing behind her and then said to them, "Aren't I right? Everyone saw how well Brother Hu treats her; how could he betray her? No matter whether it was snowing or raining, he would bring breakfast for her. Do you think he would do such a thing as cheating on her?"
"Tsk, tsk... Brother Hu worked so hard for you. He was willing to become your ox and cow; if you asked him to draw oil from seeds, he would have worked day and night to fulfil your wish."
"You did such a thing; do you think you are deserving of him?" Chen Yuya asked while looking at Bai Meiyue.
The plastic girlfriends she brought with her also agreed with her; they pointed at Bai Meiyue and called her names. In loud and annoying voices, they said that Bai Meiyue had done something unforgivable.
Even though the evidence was right in front of them, they still refused to believe it as it didn't align with the truth that they wanted to believe.
Soon, with the five of them singing and dancing to their own tune, a public trial to humiliate Bai Meiyue started.
A short and squat woman who was standing behind Chen Yuya agreed with what she said. In a loud voice, she took the opportunity to embarrass Bai Meiyue. "Sister Yuya is right. You are really too much; just because you successfully hooked up with a rich patron, you sent your parents and Brother Hu to prison? That's too much!"
"Brother Hu has treated you so well; how can you do this to him?" said another woman.
"That's right. Even if he made a mistake, he had done so much for you—couldn't you have given him a bit of a face? You grew up together with him; a bit of leniency wasn't too much to ask for, right?"
These women knew that Bai Meiyue was indeed the victim. But who asked her to be easy to bully? They were only supporting Chen Yuya because they knew that after this, even if Bai Meiyue was innocent, her acting career was over.
No one would accept a woman who slept with another man and had her ambiguous images spread on the internet. Even though they were taken down almost immediately, the truth remained the same.
Since that was the case, then they might as well use this opportunity to join hands with Chen Yuya.
More importantly, Su Hu was a good-looking man. He was soft and gentle, like a sunny boy. He often helped them and was not stingy when it came to treating them well. He was also the only son of the Su family and was rather rich. Su Hu was the ideal man in the eyes of these women.
If Bai Meiyue had simply broken up with him and not thrown him in the prison, they could have gotten a chance to hook up with him.
So how do they not hate her?
To make things even worse was that they went to see Su Hu, and he told him that he didn't blame Bai Meiyue. That she must have been hurt by something that he did to her, which was why she threw him in prison.
