Chapter 21: A breath away

Bai Meiyue had learnt and used a lot of tricks to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. If she hadn't, then before the zombie virus arrived, she would have lost her life in the hands of those who wanted to take advantage of her.

Back then there were no resources, and people were so desperate that they started to eat human flesh. How many times had Bai Meiyue fallen in the hands of these people? How many times had she struggled and escaped?

She could even kill those people when she didn't know how to fight and save her life. But now that she knew so many skills, could she not take care of Chen Yuya?

With apparent ease, she continued to press down Chen Yuya's neck with her hand; at the same time, her finger never left the button on the side of the elevator, causing the two doors to press harshly on Chen Yuya's neck.

Though Bai Meiyue was really weak now, she could still kill this woman if she wanted to. Just a bit more, and this woman would lose her puny life.

The onlookers never expected that Bai Meiyue would suddenly go crazy like this; she had always been polite and gentle. Not once did she lose her temper at anyone, no matter how she was treated by them; for them, Bai Meiyue was like a rag that could be suppressed and stomped on at any moment.

They were shocked at first, but then they screamed in horror.

The horrible sound of the elevator doors opening and closing on Chen Yuya's neck echoed in the giant hall.

"Bai Meiyue! Stop it! Stop it! Are you trying to kill someone here?" Lu Ling came running out. Earlier he wanted to see Bai Meiyue getting scolded and humiliated, which was why he did not stop Chen Yuya.

But it was a completely different matter if she was trying to kill someone.

If Bai Meiyue killed Chen Yuya, then his company would be involved. And once the investigation started, all sorts of things, including tax evasion and many other things, would come out in the open.

He couldn't let this matter escalate any further!

He turned to his assistants and secretaries before shouting at them, "What are you doing? Why are you not stopping her? Are you waiting for someone to die?"
