Atticus snapped a finger, and Ozeroth appeared beside them, irritated that he had been disturbed from his rest. Atticus didn’t give him a chance to speak.

"We’re moving straight towards the core. We’ll destroy anything else in our way," Atticus said, turning in a direction.

The others also turned, and the air around them seemed to part, as though preparing for what was to come.

And then, in an explosion of roaring speed, they moved.

Five figures tore through the skies at blinding speed, the air and clouds parting in their wake.

They appeared like streaks of force splitting the world in five. With their speed, they reached the city in a blip, appearing in the skies above a vast city enveloped in a massive yellow dome.

Atticus sent a glance toward the city and frowned. This wasn’t what he had expected. ’They were expecting us?’ he wondered.

The entire city was currently enveloped in the dome, and within it, countless warships hovered in the air.

Below, on the ground, were millions of soldiers, each one armed to the teeth, clad in full armor and wielding a variety of weapons.

At the heart of the city hovered a warship so massive, it dwarfed every other one present. Above it were numerous well dressed men and women, along with warriors radiating powerful presences.

It looked like a fully organized army.

And that was the strange part. Even if the city had somehow learned of the Warbringers’ death, they couldn’t have mobilized this much force in such a short timeframe.

It had only been moments.

Which meant one thing... they had been waiting for them.

"Halt!"

One of the well dressed men standing above the largest warship stepped forward, his cold gaze fixed on the five of them.

The man wore regal robes and looked more like a prince than a warrior. Atticus couldn’t help but notice some similarities between Nex and the kid.

Now that he thought about it, practically all the men and women on that massive warship bore some resemblance to him.

With his insane perception, it was impossible to miss the similarities, same nose, same eyes, same ears.

’His kids?’ Atticus realized, before frowning. There were a lot of them. A ridiculous number.

Each one had a powerful aura, but none matched the Warbringers. Still... just how many wives did Nex have?

"I am LowerNex Three, the third son of the great god Nex," the man declared. "You are now in the airspace of the capital city of the great world of Vortharion. Whoever the hell you are, you are trespassing. Lay down your arms and surrender!"

"This Nex is even more delusional than me," Ozeroth muttered, shaking his head. "Who names their kid LowerNex Three?"

The others nodded in agreement, but Atticus didn’t waste time. If this army had chosen to stand in their way, then they’d simply be crushed.

He spread his perception toward the massive dome, intending to mimic the mana signature. But he paused... it wasn’t made from mana.

Still, Atticus’s expression didn’t change.

If he couldn’t use his smarts... then he’d use brute force.

He reached for his katana just as LowerNex Three raised his voice again.

"This is your last warning!" he shouted.

At once, the surrounding warships began to glow with blinding energy. The army of soldiers stomped forward and shouted in perfect unison.

And above them, the sons and daughters of Nex flared their auras, preparing to battle.
