There’s Two Of Them 

Boss searched the second floor. 

Same result. 

Kal scratched his head. 

Where did Kira disappear to? 

‘Boss, no sign of Young Madam.” 

Austyn nodded without breaking his stride. “I’ve asked Samson to check the hotel surveillance footage.” 

Samson’s company had a majority stalo in the Grand d Copthome. 

Kal chased after his boss. 

Austyn halted when he saw Gideon outside the security command centre.

Gideon had called him earlier in the day, asking if he was coming to the party. 

Austyn knew Gideon was going to be at the hotel, but had not seen him till now, 

Gideon looked just as surprised. “What are you doing here?” 

“I could ask you the same thing.‘ Austyn raised an eyebrow. 

“My plus–one and a friend of mine are both missing. I couldn’t find them. Thought I’d come here and check out the footage! 

“That’s strange.” 

‘Don’t tell me you’re here for the same reason?” 

Austyn nodded. “My wife has wandered off. Probably holed up somewhere taking a nap. She’s not answering her phone.” 

“Your wife’s here? I’ve been wanting to meet her.” 

“Lean introduce ‘you to her,‘ Austyn said with a sigh, ‘once I find her,‘ 

Both men went into the room. 

They watched the live camera feed of the banquet hall. 

Samson explained, ‘We value our guests‘ privacy, so there cannot be too many cameras. You’ll only be able to see the hotel’s front entrance, the main door to the banquet hall and the lifts.” 

Half an hour later, the search came up empty. 

Austyn knitted his brows 

He asked the security guard to rewind the footage. 

He saw Kira coming into the hotel with him, stepping into the lift, going through the double door of the banquet hall, but that was it. 

The cameras didn’t capture if or when she left the banquet hall 

Was she still inside the hotel? 

Austyn drummed a finger on the desk 

Kira had a rebellious streak, but she would never run out on him without notice. 

Besides, she was not picking up his calls. 

The last time that happened, she’d lost her phone in a hospital room. 

Austyn knew how much she treasured that old Samsung phone. 

She’d never let it out of her sight. 

Unless she couldn’t come to the phone. 

An idea suddenly occurred to Austyn. 

Georgina was thrown out of the hotel, but she wasn’t the only one who had it in for Kira 

Austyn headed for the door. ‘Gideon, I gotta go Let’s meet up another time.”
