Then Kira thought it was amusing that he was the one who backed down first. 

She wondered if he was blushing.

Kira relished the scene at the carpark

Kira spun around. 

He was dressed in the blue plaid pyjamas. 

She was right. 

They looked good on him.

He would have made a killing as a model.

Kira looked away and shrugged sheepishly at getting caught. 

Austyn sat down on the sofa. 

He was reading Business Review. 

Kira touched the tip of her nose. 

He was ignoring her again. 

She went to the bathroom. 

Austyn was still on the sofa after she came out of the shower. 

He seemed to be engrossed in reading the magazine. 

Kira changed her clothes. 

She dried her hair. 

She paced in front of him, wearing a track on the rug. 

Austyn flung the magazine to one side. ‘What are you doing?” 

Kira stopped. ‘I’m not doing anything.” 

Just taking a post–dinner walk in the bedroom to aid her digestion. “Then why are you sashaying around in that skimpy dress?”

He used the next two hours to prove to her how successful her seduction had been

Kira’s eyelids drooped 

The steady rhythm of his breathing hilled her back to sleep. 

She woke up two hours later, feeling refreshed. 

Aknock came on the door.

Kira pulled the blanket over her face, embarrassed 

She’d overslept. 

She hogged the bathroom and took a long shower. 

The bedroom was empty when she came out. 

Austyn must have gotten impatient with the wait and used the bathroom in the guest room. 

Kira got changed and went downstairs. 

He was already at the table, reading a copy of today’s newspaper.
