Now that he finally saw her again, he wished he could hold her in his arms forever.

Gideon did not fall for Helen’s trick. 

He knew the woman had always had it in for Kira, though it was hard to understand why a mother would hate her own daughter. 

Helen was as spiteful as she was snobbish.

He came; he saw, he started to have doubts. 

The ward was Class A1, typically reserved for dignitaries. 

Admission required reference. 

It wasn’t the kind of room that could be bought with just money. 

Gideon had seen enough over the past two days to form a conclusion: it wasn’t the kind of room that Kira could afford.

Even if she’d won the lottery, she still lacked the connections to get her father in here.
