Liam didn’t spare Sean Santoro a glance. ‘You’re my business partner, not my bosom pal. Keep your nose out of my personal affairs.” 

There was a hint of warning in his last sentence. 

Sean raised both palms as if to surrender. “Okay, I won’t pry. Just know that if you need help, you can 

come to me any time. You know there’s no love lost between me and McCarthy. 

Liam ignored him. 

A knock came from the door. 

“Young Master Cane.” 

It was Charles Wadsworth. 

‘Come in. Liam went to the liquor cabinet and poured himself a glass of wine. 

The door opened. 

Liam’s majordomo came in and bowed to his young master. “We’ve located the man.” ‘Bring him in.‘ 

“Yes, Young Master,’ Charles turned back and relayed the order. 

Two bodyguards came through the open doorway, dragging a bloodied man between them. 

The man’s face was so swollen that it was almost impossible to tell what he looked like. 

Sean rose from the sofa. This looks personal. I’ll leave you to it then.” 

Liam nodded, 

Charles closed the door after Sean left. 

Then he asked the bodyguards to haul the man to a corner of the office. ‘Don’t get blood on the carpet.” 

Glass in hand, Liam strolled over and studied the prone figure. 

He took another sip of the Screaming Eagle cabernet, which stained his lips in a devilish red. 

Then Liam tilted the glass over the man’s head, 

‘Aaaaaargh!’ 

The man screamed as the cuts on his body burned with alcohol.
