His entire body trembled.

Liam, satisfied with the shock and fear in the mugger’s eye, rewarded him another smile. ‘You have a good memory. And a lot of guts. No one points a knife at me and walks away from it. I was preoccupied yesterday. But now’s the time to rectify the situation.” 

He straightened up. 

The smile on his face was replaced with the grim look of the Reaper. ‘Break his limbs, all four of them.” 

‘Yes, Young Master.” 

‘No!‘ the mugger squirmed on the floor and grabbed Liam’s ankle. ‘No! Please! I’m sorry! Please don’t kill 

me!” 

Liam looked down at the hem of his pantleg, sullied by the mugger’s blood. 

He kicked the man’s head and sent him sprawling. 

‘Charles, take care of the rest.” 

“Yes, Young Master. Charles signalled to the two bodyguards, who yanked the man up, kicking and screaming, and hauled him off. 

Liam stood in front of the large French window, looking down on the ant–like pedestrians twenty–two floors below. 

His eyes came to rest on something. 

A smile slowly spread across his face. 

“Kira Hewitt.” 

Liam turned back to his desk and found his phone. 

‘Charles, I want you to do something…” 

Kira feasted her eyes on the celebrity posters on the wall as she walked through the corridor. 

It was her first time visiting an entertainment company 

“Ooh, that’s Red!” she quickly snapped a few pictures of the multiple Grammy–winning singer–songwriter’s poster. 

Giana would be thrilled to see her idol’s face. 

A secretary who looked like a starlet led the visitors to a lounge. 

“Our manager will be with you in a minute. Please help yourselves to the refreshments.” 

‘Thank you,‘ Lexi said 

The twentysomething knock–out flashed a flawless smile and left. 

Benson Pittman came fast. 

He was in the lounge before Kira had sat down. 

Welcome! Welcome! the manager gave Lexi a hearty handshake. 

Lexi introduced Kira, who received the same effusive greeting. 

Pittman took one look at the contract Lexi offered and said with a smile, ‘Our president is in the office

“Yes,” Pittman was nodding and smiling at the same time. 

Lexi and Kira exchanged a look, both thrilled. 

They were going to get an up–close, first glimpse of the mystery man, the head honcho, the puppeteer! 

They stood up when the lounge door opened. 

Kira’s eyes widened when she saw the man’s face. 

She stared at him open–mouthed. 

Pittman rushed forward to pull out a chair for the president, bowing slightly. 

His boss took his seat with the grace of a monarch ascending the throne. 

The man looked even more handsome than yesterday, if that was possible. 

Liam smiled at the dumbstruck look on Kira’s face.
