A catch–up dinner was long overdue. 

Besides, she dreaded returning to that empty villa for another lonely, nightmare–filled night.

Kira had to dodge and weave in and out of traffic as she waited for Giana to pick up the call. 

Less than ten metres away, a black BMW 7601 xDrive had pulled up in front of the traffic light. 

Gideon was in the front passenger seat. 

He glanced out the window, absent–mindedly running his eyes over the hustling pedestrians. 

A figure caught his attention. 

It was a woman in profile, skipping down the sidewalk. 

She was shorter than most of the other pedestrians, and her face bobbed in and out of view.

Gideon’s heart skipped a beat. 

In front, the light had just turned green. 

He pushed open the door and chased after the woman
