Begging the Divorced Heiresses Back novel Chapter 24

Kester’s POV:

Stories about Anya had been cooked up and one by one, they were posted online.

Overnight, the whole internet is full of the news about Anya.

Every day, when Anya went to the office, she was surrounded by the reporters and strikes who were waiting for her in front of the Walter Group.

I had advised Anya many times not to go to the company, but she still insisted on going to work daily.

That day, early in the morning I went to meet Anya in her hotel with the bunch of flowers.

“Oh, hey, Kester!” Anya greeted me as she opened the door with a spatula in her one hand. It seemed like she was cooking for her kids.

Even though there are three nannies, Anya still cooks for her children from time to time.

“Have you eaten anything? Sit down and let’s eat together.”

Saying that she poured me a glass of milk and went to the kitchen to make another sandwich for me.

I nodded, sat down, and started eating.

To be honest, I had always hated sandwiches. However, since it was made by Anya, that changed everything.

“Anya, I have found a good house. The neighborhood is friendly, and the facilities will protect your privacy just fine. You should move in with the kids recently,” I said.

“I will. Thank you, Kester.”

Anya replied while making a sandwich. She looked exhausted.

Looking at her thin back, I felt sorry for her. Then, I stood up from my seat and hugged her gently from behind as I said, “You shouldn’t go to the office these days.”

“I am fine. It’s all right!”

“You always said that you are fine, but look at yourself… It was obvious that you didn’t get good sleep for so long…”

Anya flipped her hair and she smiled at me. “I am fine,” she said confidently, “I am just a little tired.”

However, I was not convinced. I looked at her face with heartache and said, “Don’t forget that you have three children to take care of? Who will look after them if you fall down?”

Anya raised her eyebrows and paused. Then she shrugged and replied, “I will find a way.”

I looked at her and heaved a long sigh. “Anya, you can’t put up with this anymore. You have to fight back!”

“Of course, I am not the girl I was six years ago. I am not going to allow Mia and the others to do whatever they want to!”

“That’s good to hear. I’m so happy to see you pull yourself together. I’ve got my PR team working on it. We shall see a reversal tomorrow!” I said with a smile.
