Chapter 110
“You are the worse man that I have ever met, I don’t know how can you be an alpha,” Ruby spoke in small and weak voice, her breathing became uneven.
She was currently pregnant heavily and laid down on her back was rather difficult because she felt the weight of the baby had pushed her or ga ns and this made her breathing became very hard, not to mention Aiden gave her some of his weight when he pushed her down like this.
Her head was spinning, but her anger and disappointment kept her mind lucid enough to tell Aiden whatever came to her mind.
“I hate you, Aiden. I hate you and your mother. I regret to come with you here. Maybe this is my karma for being with someone else’s mate.” Ruby was so in love with Aiden and the way he treated her well in the very beginning they met with each other, because no one had ever treated her that well.
More so, she was very desperate to find a way out of the poverty. Her family would end up sold her somewhere if she couldn’t work and find enough money to provide for family.
Therefore, going back with Aiden to his pack was the best option she had.
However, her judgement was proven very wrong, she was in the wrong to vie someone else’s mate. Maybe this was also her karma for what she had done.
“If you want to go back to her, just go back to her, I don’t want you. Send me back to my town with my child.” But then, Ruby chuckled. She was insane when she spoke the next words. “No. I don’t want this child. I don’t want anything that could remind me of you. I don’t want this child.”
“You sl ut!” Aiden was taken aback by what Ruby said, but what came of his mouth was only curse that made Ruby became even more wacky.
“I will rather be a s lut than to be with you,” Ruby said. “Any man will be better than you.”
Of course, what Ruby said triggered Aiden’s anger even more because this woman had tram pled his ego and what was more annoying was the fact, the first thing that came to Aiden’s mind when she said that any men would be better than him was Hunter.
He remembered how happy Lilac was with that alpha lycan. She didn’t seem to be miserable, neither she regretted her decision to be away from the pack, where she lived for almost her entire life.
Meanwhile, Aiden was stuck with the woman that he didn’t have any connection with.
Chapter 110
He wondered why the mark didn’t make the bond between them stronger, which allowed him to forget about Lilac.
But, maybe deep down, he knew the answer for that. Aiden didn’t want this woman in the first place, thus his heart rejected her, though the bond started to grow, but it was very weak.
“Say that again and I will make you regret!”
“You can’t make me regret more than I already have.”
This statement set Aiden off even more, as he raised his hand, but this time, Ruby didn’t even close her eyes. She fixed her eyes on him, there was this mocking lilt on the corner of her l*ps when she watched how he was going to beat her again, because he couldn’t afford to hear the truth.
Ruby envied Lilac. The way she saw it, she knew that alpha Hunter had treated her extremely well. She didn’t even have any desire to return to her old pack, Ruby could see it in her eyes. She fell in love with the alpha lycan.
And it was lucky for Lilac to have the alpha felt the same way.
Now, Ruby could only laugh in deprecation for herself, as she ended up with a man like
Aiden.
“Hit me.” Ruby smirked. “I told you earlier, right? Hit me.” This made it sounded like Aiden followed her instruction to hit her.
However, Aiden actually lowered his hand and stared at Ruby with unconcealable anger, but he didn’t go through with his original intention. He got off from her b*dy and sat at his side, but he kept his eyes on her still.
Feeling the weight on her stomach was lifted, Ruby finally could breathe, but instead of being relief, she felt something was off.
Suddenly dread filled her heart.

She didn’t mean what she said when she told Aiden that she hated the baby, that she didn’t want the baby or any resemblance of him, after all. This baby was hers too.
With trembling hand, Ruby touched her inner thigh and when she felt this wet on her fingers, her heart sk ip ped a beat.
Out of instinct, she turned her head and then looked at Aiden, whose face filled with
horror.

Chapter 110
Ruby might not realize it earlier because she was too preoccupied with their
argumentation, but Aiden got off her b*dy and didn’t hit her because he smelled this
blood.
Aiden remembered that he shouldn’t have hit her and he had been warned not to put so much stress on her, because her pregnancy was a risky one. Ruby had gone through a lot of stressful events, which put her pregnancy into danger.
Even his mother had relented and was not as strict as before, but now he knew that he had messed up… again.
Seeing the blood in her fingers, Ruby felt dizzy, she felt like there were bees near her ears, which turned her deaf. She felt like she was going to faint.
And the last thing that Ruby saw was Aiden’s frantic expression.
Oh, he could make such expression too? Did he really worry about her? Did he finally care about her and the baby?
Ruby didn’t know whether she herself cared to know the answer or not, because when the darkness engulfed her, she felt this peace that she had lost so long ago.
