Lilac felt a little bit of pity for luna Jasmine and Aiden, because Hunter could be very ruthless if someone crossed him and since Aiden was his target now, there was no way he would be able to leave unscathed after what he tried to pull on the alpha lycan.
There were so many sides of Hunter. The side that other people saw was this taciturn and strict alpha, but he could be very cruel and wicked, yet whenever he was with Lilac, he was this sweet, goofy man, who loved to tease her.

Out of her desperation, luna Jasmine swallowed her pride, this must be the first time for her to do this when she went to pick the n*ecklace from the floor that she had thrown earlier and went to Lilac instead.

“No!” Luna Jasmine was trying to make Lilac talk to Hunter, but Aiden growled at her to stop.
“Al! What are you waiting for?! Are you trying to defy my orders?!” Aiden glared at his beta, which made him scrambled to get luna Jasmine away from Lilac before she embarrassed herself and her
son even more.
“LILAC! How could you do this to your mother? I always treat you like my own daughter! Is this how you will pay me? Is this how you will for everything I have done to you? He is your mate! No matter what had happened, the moon goddess has chosen him as your mate! The mate bond is a sacred bond!” Luna Jasmine was losing it when Al and two more guards tried to take her out of the main hall. “LILAC!”

Hunter talked a little bit more with Rye and the other five alphas to discuss how the trial would go and during that time, Aiden would stay inside his bedroom. There would be special guards, the representative of the other five packs and the lycan pack to-make sure he couldn’t take a step out of his bedroom, until the trial was held.
They agreed the trial would happen within a week time.
And once everything had been settled, Hunter went to Lilac and help her to stand up. “Let’s go back home,” he said.

That was a magical word, something that Lilac thought she would never have, even when she was still in this pack, she didn’t feel like she truly belonged here, but when she was with Hunter, it was
different.
Probably home was not a building, but a feeling when you finally found what you needed, where your desire and comfort met, these feelings Lilac found in Hunter.

“Let’s go.” Lilac grabbed his arm and grinned at him, as Hunter escorted her to their carriage, where Ryan had been waiting for her.
Once they were inside the carriage, Lilac immediately sneaked into Hunter’s arm, she looked so sleepy and tired.
With her eyes closed, she tried to pull her hair tie to loosen it, but it was too tight.
“Come here, let me help,” Hunter said. He carefully loosened her hair tie and let her soft, silky hair loose against her back. “Sleep, little one… you must be very tired.”
Lilac didn’t need to be told twice, because when Hunter mindlessly played with her hair she had
fallen asleep…
What happened in the main hall was very exhausting and she only wanted to sleep away all the trouble, it was very comforting to have Hunter cradled her like this.
