“There is no need for that, Raya.” Hunter stopped her before Lilac could answer her offer. He took her hand and walked away.

gave Raya an apologetic look, while she simply waved her hand and smile, as if saying; she understood.
Here, Lilac felt it again. The way Hunter was with her and other people was very different, as if he was two different people, or maybe three; the loving one, the aloof one and the cruel one.
“Why are you staring at me, love?” Hunter glanced at Lilac with a soft smile on the corner of his lips.
“Why do you treat your pack member coldly?” Lilac asked curiously, she started to feel more comfortable with him again. What happened earlier might be because she was too shock after hearing what happened to her mother, thus seeing Hunter’s brutal side didn’t.go well with her already messed up mind.

“No. I feel like you are more intimidating whenever you are with your pack member. It feels like whenever you were around, they didn’t even dare to raise their head and look at you.” Lilac tried to
describe it, but she did a poor job and Hunter chuckled. “Why are you laughing.”
“I am their alpha, Lilac. Of course, the way I with them will be very different with the way I am with you.” Hunter opened the door to the kitchen and two women greeted him politely. “All of you can leave.”
The two of them immediately left the kitchen without saying anything and nodded politely at Lilac.
“See? The way you speak with them, you are rather cold and very intimidating.”

Lilac pointed that out, which Hunter thought about it for a while and agreed.
“I don’t have any obligation to be nice with them.” Hunter pulled a chair and let her sat down. He kissed her forehead and then started to cook. “I only need to be nice with you.”
“You are still an alpha even when you are with me.”
“No. I am Hunter. Not an alpha when I am with you.”

After that, both of them enjoyed their meal and once they were done, Hunter took her to meet with the healer.
Abigail looked surprised and then immediately checked Lilac’s condition. She could sigh in relief when both her and the baby were alright. It seemed, Lilac’s healing ability started to take care of her body.
Werewolf was not as strong as lycan, thus their healing ability was rather slow.
“She and the baby are fine,” Abigail informed the alpha and Lilac caught her word.
“Baby?” Lilac furrowed her brows. “What do you mean?”

“That’s…” Abigail was flustered. She looked at the alpha and realized that he had not yet told her about it. “Oh, that’s because…” she couldn’t finish her words, because she didn’t know what to say.
“You can leave, Abigail,” Hunter said, saving her from the situation.
“Yes, alpha. I am sorry…”
The healer immediately left the room, leaving only the two of them inside.
“Hunter… what she meant with…” Lilac furrowed her brows and then touched her flat stomach. “Is that true? I am pregnant?” She was in disbelieve.
“I didn’t mean to let you know about this pregnancy in this way, but yes, we are pregnant, Lilac.” Hunter said softly, he waited for Lilac’s reaction. “Are you fine with this?”
Lilac was shocked. She felt like there were a lot of surprise that had happened in nowadays, which left her speechless.
But of course, among all the surprises she had received recently, this one was the happiest.
“Of course,” Lilac said in small voice. “Of course, I am happy.” She literally threw herself at him and hugged him so tightly. “I am very happy!”
Lilac loved to have family of her own, she loved to think that one day she would meet with her mate and they started to have family, because she had none at that
time.
She always looked at the other children, whom walked with their parent with envy, because she wanted a family like that too.
Therefore, when she found out about Aiden’s betrayal and how the person that she thought she would spend the rest of her life with would start family with another woman, it broke her completely.
But right now, it was different. She had Hunter and they were going to have their own family. Her little happy family.
“I will arrange for the ceremony to happen in three days,” Hunter said, kissing her neck.
