Chapter 66
Lilac also thought the same thing. How could the six years old herself managed to lift the eleven years old Hunter out of the water. Well, she was smart enough to immediately came to his rescue after what she saw, instead of going to the pack house and waste so much time, which would kill Hunter.
However, she must be too small to have enough strength to get Hunter out of the water, just look at the difference of height and size of them right now.
“You keep my head above the water,” Hunter replied. “You keep holding my head above the water until the poison worn out and I could move again.”
“I did?” Lilac was surprised. “Wow, I think I was very kind to actually do that. How long it was?”
Hunter chuckled when he heard the way she didn’t believe what he said, but at the same time praised herself for doing the thing she forgot.
“You did. It took around three hours.”
“Three hours?” Lilac widened her eyes, she stopped walking and sat on the big rock near the river, where she turned her head to see the lake that was created by the waterfall. “I did that for three hours? How could I manage to do that?”
“I don’t know. I want to ask you the same thing.” Hunter stood up in front of her and then pointed his finger at a certain spot. “There. I was drawn over there and you dragged me in the water to a more shallow place over there.” He moved his finger to different spot, not too far from there. “You dragged me there so you can have a steady footing.”
Though in the water, little Lilac would be able to moved Hunter’s b*dy, but she wouldn’t be able to drag him to the edge, because the rock was too sharp there, she would have killed him if she insisted to drag his b*dy against the sharp rocks.
“I remember you kept crying because your hands were hurt.” Hunter reminisced what happened that day and there was that bitter smile on the corner of his l*ps. “I want to console you, but I couldn’t even speak.”
Lilac blinked her eyes when she learned about that. Before this, she had been very curious about her past, but because she was well aware that she wouldn’t be able to get any clue about who she was and what happened to her, she stopped such thought and tried to burry her curiosity deeply, since it would only bother her.
“What happened after that?”

Chapter 66
Hunter told her that she used to stay inside the secret cave behind the waterfall. In fact, she was the one, who had found that place.
After Hunter managed to move, she let him knew about her secret place, the place, where she used to spend her time.
“You used to be in this forest and behind that waterfall, almost every day and later I knew it’s because your father doesn’t like you to be around him and his family very often. He sent you out of the house, because your existence upset his mate and he doesn’t want that. During that time, you will come to this place, spending your time here and only returned when it was already dark.”
Lilac lowered her head. She used to think of how her parent was and what the reason why they were separated, but then now she knew the truth, she didn’t think she wanted to know more about them. She felt better about not knowing them.
“What about my mother? Why I am with him? Did my mother not want me too?” Lilac hated it, but she could hear how her voice was shaking. She wanted to appear unbothered, but it seemed what Hunter said had shaken up her entire world.
“I don’t know. Your father refused to talk about it to anyone. He pretended it never happened.” Hunter came closer to Lilac, knowing how devastated she might be right now.
“How noble he is.” Lilac lowered her head even more, something that she used to do whenever she was upset and tried to hide her emotions. “So, if I want to know about my mother, I should meet with my father first and ask him about it?”
“I am afraid, yes. You need to do that.”
There was silence from Lilac after Hunter said that and he let her to discern this information, giving her time that she needed, still playing with her hair, but she didn’t protest it this time.
“What else do you know about me?” Lilac finally spoke again after she could calm herself down and focus her mind on something else.
“Hm. I don’t know about you much, because you are quite a shy little girl.” Hunter recalled the memory of the little girl, who refused to talk with him. “I remembered you were sick for a few days after that because you were too long in the water. Oh, it was raining too.”
“Wow…” Lilac lifted her head and smiled a little. “No wonder, you can’t forget about me, I really have saved your as s.”

Hunter laughed when he heard that. “Yeah, I think you are right. My as s apparently is better than my life.” Lilac chuckled on that too. She was trying to hide the pain in her eyes. “I can give you a hug if you want.”
Hearing that, Lilac narrowed her eyes. “Are you trying to take advantage of me now?”
“Actually, I really want to hug you, but I am afraid you will slap me and runaway again.” Hunter smirked.
But, to his surprised, Lilac actually stood up and hugged him. She took the initiative. “Yes, I think I need a hug.” She breathed deeply and sighed to feel the warm of his b*dy.
“Oh, and one more thing about you. You loved that cave so much, so you would runaway there, that’s how I ca
