Chapter 79
“Now I can see why it was the right thing for Raya to step in and save you yesterday.” Darren touched his chin, as he stared at Lilac, who had fallen to the ground, panting heavily, because she couldn’t breath properly after what Darren so called warming up.
This was not even a warming up for Lilac! She was burning already.
“No… I can’t…” Lilac fell on her back and then stared at the blue sky from the gap between the leaves. This area was a little bit away from the stadium, where they called as training ground, but she still could hear the noise and loud growls from there.
Actually, this place was quite nice with a lot of trees and the leaves canopied this area, where she trained with Darren.
“Hm…” Darren was deep in thought, his eyes fixed on Lilac’s b*dy, but she couldn’t care less about that at this point. He could stare as he liked, Lilac needed her time to catch up her breathing. “I think I know why you are very weak and can’t stand a physical activity too much.”
“I know I am weak. I am born like this.” What else the reason aside from this?
“No, I think there is more into it,” Darren said, he was thinking about it more carefully again, but this time, he approached Lilac, who was still laying on the ground and spoke sternly with her. “Shift into your beast.”
“What? Why?” Lilac furrowed her brows. “I don’t have the energy to shift into my
beast.”
Shifting into your beast required a lot of energy, because your beast side was usually used as your defense and attack, in fighting mode, thus if you didn’t have enough energy, you wouldn’t be able to sustain that form for long.
“Just shift. Let’s see how long you can sustain that form.”
Lilac groaned. She felt so tired and wanted to go back to the pack house and -rested, but she still needed to meet with Hunter after this, because like what Darren said, it was only a ‘warming up, the real training she would get with Hunter.
The thought of it alone made Lilac felt her bones grew weary. She wanted to sleep.
‘Shift.”

Chapter 79
Darren took a step back and gave Lilac space to shift into her beast, in which she did and shifted into her beautiful honey- brown beast.
However, it didn’t last for long, because after that, she shifted back into her human form, panting heavily and shook her head. “I can’t. I can’t stay in my beast for long…”
In this rate, Lilac couldn’t even lift her fingers, because she was thoroughly exhausted, let alone to think she was still having a real training with Hunter. That was simply impossible to do.
“What do you think, Hunter?” Darren asked.
Hunter?
Lilac frowned and then lifted her head to follow Darren’s line of sight to find Hunter was leaning his back against one of the trees, his eyes fell on Lilac, who was draining from her energy.
Since when he was there?
Lilac didn’t have any idea. This was ahead of their appointed time and more so, why he didn’t say anything? Lilac must have been dog tired to even be able to recognize Hunter’s presence and smell his scent in the air.
“I will take her back to the pack house,” Hunter said and then approached Lilac. He bent his b*dy and carried her in his arms. “I will appreciate it if you don’t try to pull this again.”
Usually, Lilac would ask Hunter to put her down, because it was embarrassing to be carried like this, but this time, she snuggled against him. She had no energy to walk back to the pack house, even if she had to crawl.
“I only want to help.”
“There is no need for you to help.”
Lilac could hear how cold Hunter was and the last thing she saw was his angry face when he glared at Darren, who lowered his head, like a child being reprimanded by their mother.
After that, everything went black, she was not sure how long she was in the dark, but the first thing that she noticed was two people, who was talking with each other.
“Why she has not yet woken up? Are you sure she is alright?” Hunter asked the

healer, his tone was not friendly at all, he had this cold aura that surrounded him.
“I am sure, alpha, she will be fine. Actually, it is a good thing that she is sleeping because she needs to rest after such an intense exercise.”
Exercise? That’s what they called her training? Lilac felt very embarrassed, she couldn’t imagine what kind of rumor that would be spread if they learned she fainted during training after she made a fuss the other day with Mira.
All the people would know by now how weak she was and it was not something she was happy about.
And after that, Lilac fell unconscious again. She woke up a few hours later when her stomach was protesting and hunger strike her.
Lilac groaned and stretched her b*dy, but when she turned her b*dy, she bumped. onto something warmth and sturdy.
Sleepily, she opened her eyes and found a chest right before her. It startled Lilac, even more when she heard hunter’s deep voice from above her head.
“Feeling better?” Hunter pulled the blanket to cover her b*dy, but then he leaned over to k*ss her forehead before he got off the bed and returned with a glass of water. “Drink this, you will feel better.
Hunter helped Lilac to sit down and drink the water, he held her b*dy and the brought the glass close to her l*ps, so she wouldn’t choke.
“Slowly, no one will snatc h your glass,” Hunter reminded her when she drank the water greedily.
What Hunter said was right, she indeed felt better now. “I don’t want to train anymore…”
