Ain’t Working For Me

Kelly’s POV

I crossed my arms as I stood by the kitchen entrance, watching Luke’s back. He’s facing the stove while cooking something that smells so delicious. He’s wearing nothing under the black apron on his body and his hair is kinda messy.

Because I’m in a good mood, I walked towards him and hugged him from behind. I smirked as I felt him freeze when I pressed my palm against his hard stomach.

“How did the meeting go?”

I unwrapped my arms around him and jumped to the sink. I sat there and crossed my legs as I looked at him and smirked. “I don’t care about the damn meeting. I have more interesting news.” 

He nodded. “Hmm. What is it?”

“Lexi showed up.”

His lips parted as he stared at my face. I crossed my arms and tilted my head. She paled when she saw me and she’s so damn angry seeing me. Gosh! I can’t believe she’s my half sister. She looks like a frog.”

“Kelly…”

I lifted my arms to stop him. “Uh uh! Don’t say anything. She brought herself in the company so it wasn’t my fault that she almost peed her pants after seeing my beautiful face.”

He looked me in the eyes. “What are you really planning?”

I smirked and turned the stove off. I grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to me. I wrapped my legs around his waist and sensually kissed him on the lips.

“I…am planning to…” I paused and licked his earlobe. “…collect debts.”

I jumped off the sink after that and took my coat off. I looked at him again as he glanced at the daring tube I’m wearing.

I winked. “No sex for tonight. I’m gonna need the energy because we’re going back to that hellish country tomorrow.”

His forehead creased. “What about the company?”

I grinned. “To hell with that company. It’s not mine anyway.”

“Kelly…”

I lifted my arm and waved at him as I walked away and went to my bedroom. I took all my clothes off and threw them on the floor. Naked, I walked inside the shower.

I lifted my face as the warm water cascaded down my body. I stared at the unending droplets of water with a dark expression on my face.

Just you wait, Lexi. I’ll make you suffer in my hands until you kill yourself. And for you, Pierce, I will crush your heart into pieces just like what you did to me three years ago. I will not stop until you bleed to death and never will I ever tell you that we had a child. You don’t deserve to know.

The next day, I was packing my clothes when an uninvited guest barged in my room with an angry face. He walked towards me with the help of his walking stick and he looked really pitiful in that state.

“You’re leaving the country?”

I looked him in the eye as I answered without batting an eye. “Yes.”

“Bullshit, Kelly! I made you the Vice Chairman!”

“And?” I laughed with humor. “Did I ask you to make me the Vice Chairman ?”

“You’re not leaving the country!”

“You can try to stop me. But make sure that you can catch up because I’ll definitely run.”

“YOU WILL OBEY ME, KELLY!”

I walked towards him and gave him a devilish smirk. “Beats me.”

I walked past him. He attempted to touch me but I immediately shoved his arm away. He almost lost his balance and if not because of Luke who popped up from nowhere, he would be kissing the floor by now.
