Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 127

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 127

If it wasn’t because of the former, what could it be?

Rachel Grey narrowed her eyes, which glinted with an obscure emotion.

She felt that Old Mr. Johnson was hiding something from her.

Could it be that he was hiding some unknown secret?

She could not feel any more irritated and vexed. Then she massaged her temples.

“Rachel Grey, shouldn’t you give me an acceptable explanation?” The man’s deep and cold voice sounded from behind.

Rachel came back to her senses and turned around.

David Jones unbuttoned his suit jacket and tugged at his tic.

However, his tie tightened, intensifying his impatience.

Seeing this, Rachel pursed her lips and said ingratiatingly, “Shall I?”

David paused. He took off his suit and threw it on the sofa. He stood quietly on the spot, waiting for Rachel.

Rachel took a deep breath and slowly stepped forward, reaching for his tie to untie it.

The tie was dark blue and made of excellent material. It was smooth and cold to the touch.

Perhaps David had pulled on it too hard earlier. Rachel had to use quite some strength to untie it.

She subconsciously took a step forward, her slender fingers pulling hard at the knot.

David Jones looked at the woman in his arms. The faint fragrance on her body made him intoxicated and slightly addicted.

Her beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, and her long eyelashes fluttered. Her facial features were well–defined, and she had a high nose bridge. Her chin was small but not thin, making her seem like a young girl in her teens in some way.

She looked adorable when she was quiet.

His arm gently landed on the woman’s slim waist. Without realizing himself, he was actually moving closer to her.

Feeling the sensation of his touch, Rachel retreated instinctively.

David raised his eyebrows slightly. His dark eyes flickered dangerously as he stared at her intently.

He exuded an aggressive aura as he approached her.

Rachel kept retreating, but she hit her heel against the sofa and she fell backward.

Hence, the owner of the tie also fell on top of Rachel because she dragged him.
