Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 135

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 135

Rachel Grey was very tensed up. She could not help but tighten her grip on the blanket below her.

“David Jones, please… I beg you…” Rachel did not know what to do.

Her soft voice was trembling.

As soon as she finished speaking, the man on top of her coaxed, “What did you say?

Rachel opened her eyes to see the man walking past her and picking up the hairdryer on the bedside table. Her face flushed red in response.

So, he wasn’t trying to…

Rachel bit her lip and lowered her eyes. “It’s nothing.”

“Is that so?” David looked at her with a meaningful smile. “But I heard you beg me just now. What are you begging me for?”

His voice was deep and mellow. It almost sounded bewitching.

Blush slowly crept up his face and to her ears. She felt her ears itch a little, and her heart was pounding.

Looking at his smile, she knew that this man was deliberately teasing her just now.

She cleared her throat and tried to steady her racing heart. “Nothing,” she said flatly.

David looked at the faint blush on her face and the smile on his lips gradually widened. “Come here.”

After adjusting the hairdryer, he hooked his finger at Rachel.

“I’ll do it myself,” Rachel and sat up to grab the hairdryer.

David stepped backward and nimbly dodged her. At the same time, he raised the -hairdryer above his head. Rachel was caught off guard and fell into his arms.

Her nose bumped into his firm chest, making her wince in pain. Then tears welled up in her almond–shaped eyes. She looked pitiful this way.

“David Jones, do you know how detestable you are?”

She rolled her eyes at him angrily and sat on the end of the bed with her back facing him.

David stretched out his arm and wrapped it around her waist. He lifted her and held her in his arms. “Well, I can’t be compared with you.”

“What do you mean by that? Explain yourself!”

Rachel was honestly impressed by this man’s ability to turn the tables.

David’s thin lips curled up slightly. He bent down and pressed his lips against her cheek. You agreed to be with me but kept me in suspense when you know I yearn for you. If this isn’t hateful, what is?

Rachel was rendered speechless by the sudden sweet talk.

Her chest felt warm and full. She was quite new to such feelings.
