Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 137

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 137

Rachel suddenly widened her eyes. Her entire body was imprisoned in his domineering arms as she felt his madness.

David kissed her lips deeply and greedily took a deep whiff of her scent, forcefully exploring a certain corner.

The man’s kiss was like a sudden storm that caught her off guard. Her mind went blank.

Her eyelashes fluttered in panic, and her hands struggled uneasily.

It seemed like he had lost control…

After an unknown period of time, David’s low and hoarse voice sounded in her ears. “You’re bent on torturing me to death…”

His face was still buried in her neck. His scorching breath brushed past her neck, making her tremble.

Rachel pulled out of his embrace uncomfortably and asked seriously, “Don’t you still have work to do?”

“So?” David rolled over and faced upward.

Rachel said, “Hurry up and go to work. Try to rest early tonight.”

“Let me accompany you for a while longer.” David wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her. “It wasn’t easy for me to come in.”

Rachel could not help but laugh. “This is your turf. Do you usually get stopped when you

come in?

“If you’re not here, what’s the point of me staying here?” David kissed the top of her head- and said in a low voice, “Before I had you, I didn’t know the taste of love. After you, all the flavors in the world have become bland.”

Rachel was mentally prepared for the sweet nothings that he would say from time to time, but every time she heard it, her heart would flutter uncontrollably.

It felt like a bullet had still pierced through her chest even though she was wearing a bulletproof vest.

However, at this moment, what pierced through her heart was not a cold bullet, but David, this man who looked gentle and indifferent on the outside, but was actually domineering and a little paranoid on the inside.

Rachel was not a saint. She would drool over beauty and love sweet nothings. Everything she liked was satisfied by David.

How could she not be smitten with him?

How could she continue to maintain her rationality?

She looked at the man who was so close to her. Her gentle gaze was mixed with a faint trace of joy. She said with a smile, “David, you’re hopeless.

There’s hope. David’s arm tensed up a little. He leaned over slightly and whispered into

her ear, “You are my medicine.”

Rachel was stunned for a moment. She pursed her lips and reached out to poke his chest. “I have an early meeting tomorrow. I really should rest.”

Initially, he was just saying it out of spite. He did not expect Rachel to actually say goodnight‘ and fall asleep on his arm.
