Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 149
Don, who was suddenly called out, subconsciously looked up at Tom. He cleared his throat and told him the whole story. “According to the evidence we have so far, she is the biggest suspect in this case.”
“Heh!” Tom sneered.
Morris immediately felt hopeless.
Oh no, oh no. The King of Hell smiled.
He was kind enough to give Don a chance to redeem himself.
Good lord, he actually dug his own grave here!
Tom glanced at Don and said in a cold voice, “Since you’re a special forces police officer who retired from the top, you should know that there’s a different set of rules in every place. You detained someone without any direct evidence. You should know the seriousness of this nature.”
“But we received a police report and found the stolen goods at the crime scene. Aren’t these counted?!”
Don had to retire from the army a year ago due to his injuries and came here to be a captain.
He did not like flattery, nor did he like the bootlicking in the bureaucracy. He had always done things his own way. To put it nicely, he was confident, but to put it bluntly, he was stubborn.
Because of this, he had been complained about more than once and ostracized by others.
Seeing that he was not having a good time up there, Morris thickened his skin and asked him to come over. Therefore, every time he faced Don’s trouble, he would admit defeat. After all, he was the one who invited him to join him.
However, this time, Don harmed Rachel. Morris could not even protect himself. How could he have the extra energy to protect him? He could only pray for himself.
“Where’s the witness? Where’s the confession?” Tom questioned.
Don was stunned for a moment. His self-righteous aura immediately dissipated a little. “We’re still in the interrogation stage. For the time being, we don’t…”
Tom narrowed his dark eyes, which flickered with a terrifying coldness. “You’re forcefully. detaining her without any testimony. Are you planning to abuse your authority?”
This casual sentence was like a thousand-pound stone that smashed into Don’s heart, making him unable to breathe.
He moved his lips, but no words came out.
“I’m curious. Who called the police?” Rachel suddenly asked.
Don frowned slightly and pursed his lips, looking like he had nothing to say.
Rachel smiled. You can’t tell me?”

Its ridiculouse to think it is normal to love bomb someone for couple of days and then they are in love. They dont know each other at all. So annoying to read. And whats more, to kiss by force is romantic?? How the hell is that romantic?? Cant understand its logic....
