Chapter 301 Searching Her Vertebrae
Half an hour later, the car arrived at the Platinum Mansion.
After David entered the mansion, he stood at the entrance of the hall and looked at Rachel in silence as she took out a pair of men’s slippers from the shoe cabinet. His eyelids remained still, yet his eyebrows raised slightly, it was subtle and hardly noticeable.
He spoke no words, but his eyes became as flirtatious as they came.
Rachel looked into his eyes and immediately read his thoughts. In no hurry to explain herself, she said calmly, “These are from Lucas. He said it’s dangerous for a girl to live alone, and putting a pair of men’s slippers outside the door is a great way to keep me safe, keeps those with vile intentions. away.”
“You’re amazing at killing the mood.” David sighed helplessly.
Just a moment ago, he was fantasizing about what living under the same roof with Rachel would be like.
Rachel shrugged, her innocence–filled eyes blinking as she said, “Oops.”
David was speechless.
“You can go take a nap in the guest room first,” Rachel said as she tied up her hair with a black rubber band.
David reached out his hand, tucked a strand of her loose hair behind her ear, and asked softly, “What about you?”
“I’m going to prepare the ingredients and cook something for you later,”
Rachel said.
“Why don’t we nap together?” David’s fingers gently stroked her earlobe, his fingertips circled around her ear and landed at the sensitive spot behind it. “Rae–Rae, I promise I won’t do anything.”
His low and magnetic voice slowly sounded in her ears.
Rachel’s eyelashes shivered slightly. Just as she was about to reject him, she heard him say, “Are you going to reject me again?”
As she pondered the answer to this question, David’s arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her into his arms.
This man’s cold aura shrouded Rachel and wrapped her tightly, even her
breathing stagnated for a moment.
After pondering for a moment, Rachel sighed softly and said, “I just feel that if I agreed, I’d seem like an easy and unreserved woman.”
“Aren’t you reserved enough?” David looked down at the woman in his arms. His well–defined slender fingers caressed her exquisite and round chin. Then, he bent down and gently kissed her lips. “I’d say you’re so reserved it’s torturous.”
Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly. “So, am I to take that as a complaint?” David buried his head in her neck, and his warm breath swept across her skin. His voice was magnetic, casual, and lazy, yet it tickled and lured Rachel’s heart like a tiny hook. “How could I? I must make you mine, and for that, no matter how difficult your tests are and how many you’re going to give me, I’ll overcome them.”
Rachel’s lips curled upwards slightly. It was faint, but she smiled.
However, the next second, David suddenly carried her up and quickly walked into the guest room.
Angry and frustrated, Rachel yelled, “David, what are you, a barbarian?”
“Barbarian?” David’s footsteps slowed down slightly. He raised his eyebrows as if he was thoroughly analyzing the meaning of this word.
Suddenly, his lips curled into a smile and he said, “It looks like I must do something barbaric then, or else I’d be besmirching the nickname you’ve given me.”

Its ridiculouse to think it is normal to love bomb someone for couple of days and then they are in love. They dont know each other at all. So annoying to read. And whats more, to kiss by force is romantic?? How the hell is that romantic?? Cant understand its logic....
