Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 38

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 38

When Rachel walked out of the Smith Group building, she happened tosee Adrian adjusting his tie, holding a briefcase, and exuding a stern and austere murderous aura. It was as if he would have charged into the Smith Group’s building to carry out a massacre if she had been a minute later.

The moment Adrian saw Rachel, his eyes grew colder. A trace of worry appeared in his eyes. He sized her up and asked eagerly, “Did that scumbag make things hard for you?”

He was clearly overprotective.

A warm and fuzzy feeling surged in Rachel’s heart, and a trace of joy appeared on her cold and aloof face. She answered, “No. Besides, I can cope with this trivial matter on my own.”

Adrian looked up at the Smith Group with a trace of mockery in his eyes. “The Smith Group actually abandoned you for a lowly starlet, huh? Is that all they’re capable of?”

Hearing the remarks Adrian made about Olivia, Rachel couldn’t help but raise her brows.

Lowly starlet…

After all these years of being in the entertainment industry, Olivia was almost an A–list celebrity and one of the top four most popular actresses. However, despite her achievements, the Johnson family still thought she wasn’t worthy enough.

The only reason was that the Johnson family was incredibly powerful and rich. As for their status…

Even now, no one could replace them as the richest family in Seaxas.

“Let’s go home,” Adrian said as he took Rachel’s hand and turned around to get inside the car. “Sir even called to ask about you just now. He misses you.”

Rachel nodded. When she bent forward and was about to get inside the call, she made a call to someone. “Deal with the footage of the surveillance cameras at the Smith Group,” she instructed.

She didn’t want to leave behind any traces that Louis could take

advantage of.

From now on, there was longer a Rachel Grey who fought for love, only Rachel Grey, the heiress of the Johnson family, the richest in Seaxas.
