Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 435

After treating the burn on Rachel’s leg, David looked at Rachel purposefully. “What are you trying to do?” Rachel became nervous when she met his deep gaze.

David looked down at her with playful and longing eyes. He placed Rachel on the bed and wrapped his arms around her waist, enveloping her in his arms. He pecked gently at Rachel’s ear with his lips and whispered in his low and attractive. voice, “I want to sleep with my girlfriend.”

Rachel did not know what to say.

“What else do you think I want to do?” David said playfully. His tone was affectionate, like a gentle feather tickling Rachel’s heart, and her body went weak. She could sense the tranquility in David’s aura and felt inexplicably at ease. She took a deep breath to calm her emotions and said calmly, “How would I know?” David wrapped her in his arms and caressed her back with his warm palm. He lowered his voice and said softly, “Let’s sleep.”

He caressed her back gently and slowly, coaxing her to sleep like a child.

A smile appeared at the corner of Rachel’s eyes. Suddenly, she felt like teasing him. She stretched out his finger and gently poked David’s Adam’s apple.

“Not sleepy?” David looked down at her with a hint of playfulness in his eyes. Rachel did not say anything. Instead, she slowly closed her eyes.

As David listened to Rachel’s rhythmic and light breathing, he rose slowly and lifted the blanket. He then got up from the bed.

After he walked out of the bedroom, he took out his phone and called Jimmy.

Jimmy was probably busy investigating the matter. The phone rang for a long while before it was finally picked up.

The night air outside the window was as thick as ink. A gust of wind blew a fallen leaf off the ground. The leaf swayed in the wind and landed in the pond.

“Did you find out anything?”

“The surrounding surveillance cameras have been wiped clean. There are no useful clues.” Jimmy said and paused. “But I found something interesting.”
