Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 459

Chapter 459

Rachel showed the whites of her eyes. “What do you think?”

She vaguely heard the sound of sonorous footsteps outside the door.

As the footsteps became clearer, the door of the lounge was pushed open. David walked in with his cell phone in hand. “Are you unhappy?”

“If it were you, would you be happy after being ignored for more than half an hour for no reason?” Rachel retorted with a sour face.

She had worried that David would still be angry about what happened yesterday. She had come over with good intentions to comfort him, but in the end, she got furious now!

‘Since you’re busy and don’t have time, I’ll leave now. I won’t disturb anymore.” Rachel stood up and walked straight to the door.

However, hardly had she just taken two steps when her waist was suddenly held by David. Then, she was pulled back by him.

Rachel was caught off guard and fell into David’s arms. She could clearly smell the perfume on his body. She immediately frowned and struggled with her hands on

his chest.

“Behave yourself!” David tightened his grip on her waist. He held her in his arms, half gently and half forcefully. His deep and cold voice was filled with warning.

Rachel frowned slightly. Her beautiful eyes flickered with stubbornness and unwillingness.

In fact, she had always been curious about which of them, she or David, would win if she fought with David.

At this moment, her guess was verified.

In front of David, she didn’t have the strength to strike back.

David sensed her frustration, so the smile on his face faded a little. His well-defined fingers grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up at him. “You don’t even want to give me a chance to explain, do you?”

His deep and cold tone suddenly softened. There was a hint of careless laziness in his last syllable, but it was exceptionally bewitching and seductive.

Rachel put on a stern expression and tilted her head to avoid his fingers. She glanced at him angrily. “Then tell me your reason.”
