Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 494

Chapter 494

Hannah dropped her eyelids to hide her panic.

She thought she had never been absent from the Chamber of Commerce over the years and knew the rules and regulations of the Chamber of Commerce like the back of her hand. However, what she did not know was Sam, who had just taken office, was good at flattering people but cautious.

To ensure the safety of personnel, he introduced a number of new equipment.

Rachel put the surveillance video from her phone on the projector under the tent.

She deliberately zoomed in on a certain frame and looked at Hannah with a half-smile. “Miss Shain, you are quite good at scamming.”

“You’re talking nonsense!” Hannah’s face turned pale as she tried hard to control her emotions. She stiffened her neck and said, “Who knows if you deliberately synthesized these videos to frame me!”

“What about him?” Lucas’s cold and lazy voice suddenly sounded.

Everyone looked up and saw Lucas walking over casually with one hand in his pocket. His aura was oppressive.

Behind him was a trembling waiter.

It was the first time the waiter had seen such a big scene before him. He was too frightened to go forward at ease.

Among those present, he did not know Rachel and David, except for the young socialites he was familiar with from the Four Families.

Just as he was hesitating. Lucas grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him directly in front of Rachel and David.

The waiter stag gered and fell to the grass awkwardly.

Lucas had a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth. He lit it with his clean, slender fingers rubbing the gears of the lighter, then he bit the cigarette butt with his thin lips and took a deep drag.

“Miss Shain, how are you going to explain his existence?” he asked again in a deep, cold voice amid the smoke.

Hannah’s face turned pale. She gritted her teeth and tried her best to control her panic. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
