Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 496

Chapter 496

Hannah was like an emotionless marionette. She was pressed to the ground by Billy and Eddie and kowtowed three times to Rachel.

“Apologies to Miss Grey!” Billy said expressionlessly.

He tightened his grip on Hannah’s shoulder as he spoke.

There was a disparity in strength between men and women, and Billy, a burly guy, did not know how to be gentle with women.

After a moment of stalemate, Hannah was finally defeated. “Miss… Miss Grey, I’m sorry…”

“Are you appeased?” asked David, extending his well-defined fingers and tucking her hair behind her ear.

Rachel nodded in satisfaction. However, she thought the Seaxas Chamber of Commerce and Four Families’ members were all gathered here today. If things. got too ugly, there would inevitably be rumors about the Johnson family.

Hannah’s hair was messy, and her forehead was red and swollen at this time. She no longer had her previous high and mighty attitude.

If she knew this would happen, why did she do it in the first place?

“After all, she’s just from the Shain family’s branch. She even fantasized about riding Miss’s head and acting wild. She is out of her league.”

“She kept saying that Miss Grey ruined her dress with reason and evidence. Poor and naive me, I believed her!”

“She reaped what she sowed. She’s not worth pitying.”

Hannah’s eyelashes trembled violently. The undisguised discussions tr*mpled all her pride into the mud.

She glared at Rachel furiously. Her hatred and anger were growing.

It was all because of the b*tch!

She wouldn’t have ended up like this if it weren’t for her!

At this moment, Luciane spoke again in the crowd, “Miss Grey, I advise you. Don’t be too ruthless! You’re arrogant and despotic because of the Johnson family. The Johnson family is ranked first among Four Families today, but how do you know there won’t be any changes in the future?”

The Four Families in Seaxas seemed to be harmonious, but there was actually an undercurrent.

In addition, there were rumors that the Four Families in Seaxas would be reshuffled. Hence, everyone stared at the Johnson family’s position covetously.

It was human nature to want to see the once invincible Johnson family fall from.. the clouds into the dust.

They wanted to see the high and mighty Rachel being stepped on by them even

more.

They did not dare to say anything about their ambitions in the past. However, Marina’s appearance was like a spark that lit up in the darkness, illuminating the ugly face of the ferocious beast in everyone’s hearts.
