Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 585

“I like the way you don’t like me. Do you want to change it?”

Rachel did not say a word.

She was speechless again.

She decided not to engage with Zion any further and instead focused her attention on reviewing the list of items to be auctioned.

Rachel didn’t think she had enough charm to make Zion fall in love with her at first sight, nor did she think there was anything about her that could make him fall head over heels.

Not to mention, Zion’s image was completely different from that of a devoted lover.

She even suspected Zion was secretly plotting something with Lucas to cause trouble for her.

However, on second thought, Lucas had received David’s benefits after all.

Lucas was not st**pid enough to bite the hands that fed him. Hence, he wouldn’t do such a thing.

But Rachel couldn’t figure out why Zion was so obsessed over her. It was like he couldn’t live without her. She thought David was the only man that made her feel helpless, but there was Zion added to the mix.

Was G**d making a joke with her?

Rachel supported her chin while glancing over the booklet in her hand with a downcast expression.

Mary, who was watching the commotion, said, “Mr. Summers, can I ask you a question?”

Zion knew Mary, so he was a little polite to her. “Miss Green, please go ahead.”

“What was the exact moment or event that made you fall in love with Rae-Rae at first sight?”

No matter what it was, nothing could escape the arrangement of fate.

Zion played with a lighter with his well-defined fingers. He frowned slightly and said with a serious. expression, “It’s not love at first sight. It’s been a long time.”

Hearing Zion’s answer, Mary immediately perked up. “So you knew Rae-Rae long ago?”

Zion didn’t answer, but his gaze fell on Rachel as if he was waiting for her answer.

Sensing Zion’s gaze, Rachel looked at him in confusion.

As Zion saw the confusion in Rachel’s eyes, which didn’t seem to be fake, Zion couldn’t help but furrow his brow and ask, “You don’t remember me?”

His words were mixed with unknown anger.

As soon as Zion said this, Mary was dumbfounded. Even Rachel herself was stunned.

Could it be that they knew each other before?

But why didn’t Rachel have any impression of it?

Coincidentally, David caught sight of the moment when Rachel and Zion were “staring deeply into each other’s eyes.

David had been secretly monitoring the conversation between Zion and Rachel from the start.

But now, he finally reached his breaking point and left the organizer behind, heading directly toward Rachel’s private room.

Confused, the organizer hurriedly followed.

The entire auction venue was semi-circular, and the hall was in an ordinary position. There were six chairs placed on each round table.

On the second floor were private rooms with a good view. It was also convenient for the people in the

room to see the entire situation.

In particular, the indistinct gauze curtains in front of the stands easily aroused the curiosity of the guests. on the first floor towards the second floor.

It was not that no one had thought of trying to sneak in, but there were bodyguards guarding the stairs, so they had no choice but to give up.

As the godd**ughter of Marina, the organizer made an exception and arranged a private room for Olivia. Although the view was not the best, it greatly satisfied her vanity.
