Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 609

Chapter 609

Rachel looked up and was caught off guard by that pair of bottomless black eyes. It was as if Rachel had fallen into a black hole and was firmly imprisoned.

The man’s bottomless eyes seemed to be filled with infinite gentleness. There were indescribable emotions in the depths of David’s eyes.

“I was hoping that you can be more greedy. It’s best if you pester me all the time.”

Rachel could not help but raise her eyebrows.

This was the first time Rachel had heard such a rude request in her life.

“But don’t men always like wise women who know when to advance and when to retreat?” Rachel looked at the man in front of her with a thoughtful look in her almond-shaped eyes. “If I were to pester you all the time, I’m afraid you would have grown tired of it long ago. Moreover, I think that no matter how intimate two people are, they have to have their own space.”

Rachel had never thought of love as a restraint.

If the other party only had you in his heart, even without the rules and regulations you set, he could still be 100% self-disciplined. On the other hand, no matter how many rules and regulations there were, they could not restrain the man’s heart.

“You’re comparing me to f*ckboys?” David frowned slightly. His every word was extremely arrogant. “Are other men worthy of being compared to me?”

Looking at the proud David, Rachel couldn’t help but laugh. “They’re indeed not worthy of being compared to you.”

“So, feel free to pester me and cling to me. I definitely won’t grow tired of you.”

“Are you sure?” Rachel looked at David in surprise.

David nodded. “You can try.”

Rachel’s eyes flickered with a sly smile. “David, are you trying to trick me?”

“No.” David looked at Rachel honestly.

Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly. It was obvious that Rachel was skeptical of David’s words.

“Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore. You should open the gifts first…”

“Yes, it’s time to open the gifts,” David said as he bent down and carried Rachel h*rizontally.

Rachel’s body was suddenly in the air. Rachel’s arm naturally h*oked around David’s neck. “What are you doing?”

“Open the gift,” David said in all seriousness.

Rachel was astonished.

David didn’t mean what Rachel thought, did he?

Seeing that David had ignored the gift she had meticulously prepared on the stairs, Rachel hurriedly explained, “The gifts are right here. Where are you going to open the gifts?”

That’s all? David frowned slightly. David looked at the exquisite gift boxes on the stairs, and he analyzed calmily. “According to the number of balloons, the corresponding gifts should be from one to twenty-eight. There’s one less.”

As he spoke, David looked down at Rachel in his arms.

David seems to talk through his, “You can’t hide it from my eyes.”

Rachel was at a loss under David’s gaze. Rachel’s fingertips curled up slightly. “You seem to be too smart.”

Normally, most people would be overjoyed when they saw a surprise. How could a person be as calm and logical as David?

Was this man allergic to romance?

“So where’s my last gift?” David stared at Rachel with his dark eyes. It was as if a dark flame had been lit in his eyes, igniting his dark addiction. “Is that gift you?”

The man’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and his eyes were filled with infatuation.

Rachel’s long eyelashes fluttered in panic.

Rachel lowered her eyes to hide the panic in them.
