Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 614

Chapter 614

Rachel was in her bedroom when she received the video call from Mary. She picked it up without much thought.

Noticing Mary’s background surrounded by flowers, she couldn’t help but ask, “Where are you?”

“I’m at Yulia’s engagement banquet.” Mary noticed Rachel’s outfit. “Rachel, don’t tell me you’re still in bed!”

Feeling embarrassed, Rachel pursed her lips. “I think it’s not too late for me to get ready

now.”

“Rachel, you’ve changed,” Mary complained bitterly. “You’ve always remembered what I said in the past. Now that you’ve found someone new, I’m no longer important!”

Rachel looked at her helplessly and explained vaguely, “Something unexpected happened last night.”

Mary’s face fell on the camera within a second. Her eyes flickered with excitement. “Tell me, tell me. How was it last night? Did you see Mr. Jones’s majestic and mighty side? I heard that men with high nose bridges have short dicks. Did you…”

Seeing that Mary was getting more and more ridiculous, Rachel hurriedly interrupted. “Mary, don’t you feel ashamed?”

Sometimes, she really admired Mary for being able to discuss such a private matter without feeling embarrassed.

When Mary saw the blush on Rachel’s fair cheeks, she knew that Rachel was shy. “Alright, alright. Let’s forget about this topic.”

Rachel quickly walked to the dressing table to put on her makeup. “Send me the location.”

“Alright.” Mary said, “Send me a message when you have arrived so that I can pick you up.”

Rachel nodded.

After hanging up the video call, Rachel quickly put on her makeup.

In just five minutes, she was ready. She entered the walk-in wardrobe and changed into a new set of clothes.

However, when she walked to the mirror and saw the terrible marks on her chest, she cursed and changed into another set of clothes.

After tidying up, she walked out of the bedroom,

“Where’s grandma?” Rachel walked down the stairs and subconsciously looked around.

David approached her and extended a hand to her. “She was worried she would disturb your rest, so she left early.”

He then noticed Rachel’s attire. “Are you going out?”

“Yes, I am going to attend a friend’s wedding,” Rachel answered.

David frowned slightly. He slid his hand to the back of her waist and gently rubbed it before leaning close to her ear and whispering, “Looks like I wasn’t rough enough last night.”

Rachel was speechless.

In fact, she was curious. What good would it do him if she couldn’t get out of bed?

She pinched David’s soft waist and glared at him angrily. “Please give me a break.” David held her hand and kissed it. “I’m going to go harder on you next time.”

Rachel pulled her hand away with a look of disdain and walked towards the door with her bag.

“Have something to eat first. I’ll send you there later.” David hugged Rachel Grey’s waist and walked towards the dining room.

While eating, Rachel felt her lower back aching, and she could not sit properly.

At this moment, David pressed his palm against her back. The moderate pressure helped ease her soreness by a great deal.

Mrs. Brown happened to see this scene.

She quickly lowered her eyes to mask the smile in them.

“Miss Grey, have some caviar.” She handed a white bowl to Rachel.

Just as Rachel was about to say she was full, Mrs. Brown added, “This is good for replenishing your energy. At least eat a little. It’s good for your body.”

Rachel kept silent.

On the other side, at Hotel Grand Royale.

Olivia was trying to contact Marina using her phone.

However, the call did not go through even after a long time.

Frustration flashed across her eyes.

At this moment, the makeup artist who was doing her hairstyle accidentally pulled her hair and hurt her scalp. She slapped the makeup artist’s hand. “Get lost! You couldn’t even do something as simple as combing my hair!”

The makeup artist wanted to retort after being slapped, but a man beside her stopped her.

The man was wearing a white shirt. His black hair was tied up behind his head, making his beautiful face appear more arrogant.

“She’s new here, so her skills can be somewhat rusty. Miss Cruise, don’t get angry with her on such a good day.” The person walked forward and stood behind Olivia. He helped her tidy her hair and changed the topic without batting an eyelid. “Miss Cruise, your gown today is absolutely gorgeous. Judging from the style, it seems to be from…”

“At least you know something” Olivia raised her chin slightly, and a hint of arrogance flashed in her eyes. “Miss Yule personally designed it for me.”

As soon as the man heard this, his eyes darkened, and a meaningful smile appeared on his lips. “I see.

Of course, he heard of Winnie, the renowned designer.

However, in his opinion, the dress did not match Winnie’s style at all. Instead, it looked like
