Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 624

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia

Chapter 624

The moment when Albert appeared, Olivia seemed to have grabbed onto her last life-saving straw.

Albert smiled faintly and said, “Miss Jones knew that you are engaged to Mr. Smith today, Miss Cruise. She specially asked me to send a gift to the two of you. Please accept it.”

Olivia nodded in a daze. Olivia hurriedly stood up and walked forward to accept the gift.

“What is it?”

“Since it’s from Miss Jones from Aureliana, it’s naturally not bad.”

“Miss Jones specially sent someone to deliver a gift. I think Miss Jones is still very concerned about Olivia.”

The surrounding discussions made Olivia gradually calm down from her panic.

Even if these photos were exposed and the Smith family was extremely dissatisfied with Olivia, they had no choice but to swallow their anger for the sake of Marina.

After all, the Smith family valued Olivia’s identity as Marina’s godd aughter the most.

As long as Olivia was Marina’s godd aughter, the Smith family would behave themselves in front of Olivia!

Under everyone’s envious gaze, Olivia slowly opened the box.

Inside the box was an emerald necklace with a hundred carats.

Each emerald was round and smooth, giving off a clear luster under the light.

The combination of diamonds and emeralds was luxurious but not lacking in elegance.

“I can tell this necklace is worth a fortune.”

“Miss Jones is so generous. I’m really envious of Miss Cruise.”

“Miss Cruise is really lucky to be accepted as Miss Jones’s godd aughter. Many people can’t have such a good chance.”

“Mr. Smith is lucky to be able to marry Miss Cruise.”

When Mrs. Smith heard this, her face alternated between gloomy and pale. Mrs. Smith snorted softly. “I would rather wish you were the lucky one.”

Mrs. Smith’s voice was neither loud nor soft. When it entered the Cruise family’s ears, they felt awkward.

“The gift has been delivered. I’ll take my leave first,” Albert said at the right time. “Miss Cruise, congratulations.”

As Albert left, the atmosphere fell into dead silence again.

Everyone looked at each other and secretly sized up the expressions of the Smith family and the Cruise family.

The Smith family’s expression was the most intriguing.

They clearly hated Olivia, but because of Olivia’s identity as Marina’s godd aughter, they couldn’t say anything. This feeling was as disgusting as swallowing a fly.

“Louis, Marina still cares about us,” Olivia said as she reached out and h**ked her arm around Louis’s hand.

However, just as Olivia’s fingertips touched the corner of Louis’s shirt, Louis avoided Olivia without a trace. “I still have something on. I’ll leave first.”

“Where are you going?” Olivia grabbed Louis’s hand. Olivia’s eyes were filled with panic. “This is our engagement ceremony. What should I do if you leave? You knew that Rachel hates me. She hates me for snat ching you away from her. You know that these are all her schemes to sow discord between us. She deliberately wants to destroy me…”

“If you don’t want others to know, you shouldn’t have done it!” Louis interrupted Olivia coldly. “If you didn’t do these things, how could she have caught you? Now that things have come to this, not only are you unrepentant, but you also want to play the blame game. Olivia, you really disappoint me!”

With that, Louis turned around and left without looking back.
