Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 638

Chapter 638

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia

Rachel glanced at the door coldly.

Through the glass, she could vaguely see the facial features of Olivia and Richard.

Her eyes narrowed slightly, and a cold light appeared in the depths of her almond-shaped eyes.

Was Richard actually released?

She slowly lowered her eyes and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

Olivia snorted without hiding anything. “It’s already at this juncture. But she can bring herself to laugh!”

“Let’s go. Richard retracted his gaze and glanced at Olivia.

They got into the car and the car slowly (dro ve) out of the gate. Richard finally heaved a sigh of relief. Before he could exhale, the car suddenly braked.

Olivia and Richard were caught off guard and fell toward the front row seats.

“What’s wrong with you?” Olivia scolded coldly.

Before she could finish her sentence, someone knocked on the car window beside her.

Olivia frowned and slowly lowered the car window. What she saw was Eddie’s faint smile.

Her heart skipped a beat, and a strong sense of uneasiness instantly overwhelmed her.

She looked up at the black Rolls-Royce that was slowly driving past Eddie.

The (arro gant)) license plate number symbolized the man’s incomparably noble status in the car.

Olivia’s eyelashes fluttered, and her eyes flickered with panic.

Was David back?

Why did he come back at this juncture?

There was a faint smile on Eddie’s lips, but his smile was obviously cold. “Miss Cruise, the police are investigating a smuggling case. In order to prevent the news from leaking, the higher-ups have specially instructed that everyone is only allowed to enter and not leave! I hope the two of you can cooperate!” Richard was scheming and sensed his daughter’s panic. He held her slightly cold hand. At the same time, he said to Eddie, “Got it. We will definitely cooperate.”

When Eddie heard this, the smile on his lips became more obvious, but there was a terrifying coldness in his eyes.

After he left, Olivia grabbed Richard’s hand. “Dad, what should we do now?! If David finds out that we’re targeting Rachel, he won’t let us go!”

Thinking about what happened to the Tory, Olivia was filled with lingering fear.

If David really attacked the Cruise family, they would not even have the chance to fight back. At that time, only death awaited them.

“What are you panicking for?” Richard sighed softly. He took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it. “Without anything as evidence, who can convict us with just one sentence?”

When Olivia heard this, her panicked emotions were comforted. “Yes, there’s direct evidence of Rachel maliciously hurting someone. Even if someone wants to take the blame, she’s the one who can’t escape!” There was no evidence to prove that she had hired a murder to (ki l l ) someone. It was impossible to convict them with just one sentence.

Olivia’s anxious heart gradually relaxed when she thought of this. “I’ll inform Marina first so that she won’t be caught off guard when she sees David.”

Lucas, who was smoking in front of the car, was slightly stunned when he saw David appear. He

immediately threw away the cigarette (b u t t) in his hand and quickly walked toward David.

The first thing he said was, “Are you willing to put righteousness before family?”

David glanced at him indifferently. “What do you think?”

Lucas raised his eyebrows, and a ruthless look appeared in his eyes. “No matter what, they’re relatives who are related by blood. If you can’t bear to do it, I don’t mind helping you.”

David did not say anything. Instead, he put one hand in his pocket and walked into the police station with powerful steps.
