Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 771

Chapter 771

Rachel followed the bartender into one of the VIP rooms.

Little did she expect that this lavishly decorated VIP room would conceal a secret door.

As Rachel laid eyes on the unexpected hidden door, her eyebrows slightly raised.

“Go inside.” The bartender gestured with a chin nod, indicating for Rachel to enter the hidden door.

Rachel didn’t hesitate and stepped forward.

As soon as she walked in, the hidden door behind her was closed.

At the same time, the secret passage became brightly illuminated, guiding Rachel forward.

She walked along the secret passage. And the noisy clamor of people gradually became distinct.

As the narrow secret passage suddenly opened up, the extravagant and indulgent scene in the casino appeared in front of her.

The entire underground casino had an area of tens of thousands of square feet. It was divided into different levels and areas based on the value of the chips.

Crystal chandeliers and red carpets adorned the space, exuding luxury wherever the eye could see.

On the upper level, a massive observation hall was constructed, allowing a panoramic view of the actions and behaviors of every individual in the underground casino.

It seemed that there were no restrictions on anyone here, allowing people to indulge themselves without any restraints. Therefore, everyone in this place had shed their daytime inhibitions.

“You look unfamiliar.” A man in uniform walked to Rachel’s side. He had a gentle and polite smile on his face, but his eyes were filled with scrutiny. and curiosity. “May I know what you’d like to play tonight?”

The man was a dealer in the casino.

Rachel tilted her head slightly and looked at him. “Blackjack”

The man gestured to her politely and respectfully. “Please follow me,”

They walked over to the blackjack table. And the dealer pulled out a chair for Rachel to sit down.

Rachel instinctively looked at the people in front of her.

The table she sat at was occupied by women, each accompanied by a handsome dealer. Even the croupiers were exceptionally attractive men.

Similarly, the tables where the male guests sat were all women with good figures and outstanding looks

Rachel slowly lowered her gaze, concealing the subtle amusement in her

eyes.

She thought inwardly, “How interesting.

“Mr. Dickens seemed to have a deep understanding of both men’s and women’s thoughts.”

A handsome croupier’s gaze met Rachel’s mesmerizing face, and his eyes could not help but reveal a hint of astonishment.

There were all kinds of people in the casino. But it was rare to see such an eye-catching face.

In fact, she was not inferior to his boss at all.

The dealer next to Rachel patiently explained the rules to her, and then exchanged a glance with the croupier, signaling him to deal the cards.

In the game of blackjack, the objective was to have a hand with a total value as close to 21 as possible..

The player with a hand closest to 21 would be the winner.

“400 thousand dollars.” Rachel directly threw out the chips.

The crowd paused for a moment, evidently surprised by her bold move. Then, each face displayed a hint of intriguing amusement.

Chapter 771

It seemed that a newbie had arrived there.

However, it was unknown if Rachel was too lucky or if others were too. unlucky. The final winner was Rachel.

In the subsequent rounds, Rachel seemed to be blessed by Lady Luck herself, winning one after another.

Seeing that she had more and more chips in her hand, everyone’s gaze toward her became a mix of envy and jealousy.

Her tablemate quickly lost all her chips. And the woman, wearing a large gold chain around her neck, angrily exclaimed, “Damn it! You’re

cheating!”

As soon as she finished speaking, her words instantly captured everyone’s

attention.

No matter which casino it was, cheating was a big taboo.

Rachel, resting her cheek on her hand, casually toyed with a poker chip. worth 200 thousand dollars. And she said nonchalantly, “Words should be backed by evidence.”

“Don’t you dare act innocent!” The middle-aged woman glared at Rachel with furious eyes. “Since you arrived, you’re the only one winning at this table. If it’s not cheating, then what is it? We demand a search!”

As soon as she finished speaking, the others echoed, “Words alone won’t convince us. We should search her.”

“That’s right. Let’s search her!”

“I agree. There’s something fishy about this woman.”

The people in the surveillance room caught sight of the scene and quickly turned their gaze toward the buzz-cut man resting on the couch. “Sir, there’s trouble at the scene.”

“Well. Let me see who’s causing trouble without any sense.” With a cigarette in his mouth, the buzz-cut man walked to the surveillance camera. When he saw Rachel’s face, he could not help but whisper, “Fuck! How did this troublemaker show up?”

The vivid image of Rachel single-handedly taking on eight opponents

still remained deeply ingrained in his memory.

Upon hearing the buzz-cut man’s reference to Rachel, one of the staff couldn’t help but ask, “Sir, do you know her?”

The buzz-cut man did not say anything. His eyes were filled with chaos. as if his mind was rapidly thinking of a countermeasure.

He had followed Ronnie for many years. But he still couldn’t figure out what Ronnie was thinking about this troublemaker.

If he had taken a fancy to her, there were so many ways to snatch her away. There was no way he would let her continue staying with David.

If he was not interested in her, why would he constantly think about her and even go as far as bringing out a cherished treasure he had kept for years to give to her on her birthday?

After much contemplation, the buzz-cut man could not make up his mind. “You guys go down and take a look. I’ll go see Mr. Diekens.”

He walked out of the surveillance room and quickly went to the second
