Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 811

Chapter 811

After Rachel hung up the phone, she sat quietly on the chair.

She started playing with the shackles on her hands

Then there was a ki

the door of the interrogation room

The police officer got up to check. The person outside said something and the police officer turned back and waved at the other police officer Then, the two of them packed up the things on the table and turned to leave

Only Rachel was left in the interrogation room.

Faced with such a situation, Rachel lowered her eyes and her red lips curled into a faint and cold smile.

She sat on the chair with her legs crossed and she looked quite calm. She did not look like a miserable prisoner at all.

After some time, the door of the interrogation room was opened again.

Noah walked in from outside and glanced at Rachel. Then, he sat down in front of the table. “Miss Grey, you’ve been so calm and that really impressed me.”

“What else should I do?” Rachel slowly raised her eyes and glanced at him nonchalantly. “Making a scene doesn’t seem to

work here”

Hearing this, a smile appeared on Noah’s face. “Miss Grey, you know the big picture and I think really highly of you It’s a pity that you’re David’s woman. Otherwise, I really hope you can join my team”

Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly and smiled. “From what you’re saying, you’re admitting that you’re not on the same side as David, right?”

At this point, Noah had nothing to hide.

Even if he didn’t admit it, the truth was right in front of them. Instead of trying to make excuses, he might as well be more honest.

Moreover, at this point, he did not think that Rachel had the ability to escape.

Noah took off his glasses and slowly wiped the lenses. “Aren’t you curious about how you ended up like this?”

“What’s there to be curious about?” Rachel leaned lazily against the back of the chair “But I overestimated you in the past. I thought you were brilliantly scheming, but I didn’t expect you to use such a lowly method on a woman.”

No man in the world could accept being humiliated like that to his face.

Noah’s gaze gradually turned cold. He still maintained a vicious smile on his face, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue, However, he quickly hid his emotions and put on his glasses again. “Now that things have come to this. Miss Grey, why do you have to act like you had it all under control? If you’re really so smart, why are you here?

“If you had listened to my advice back then, you wouldn’t have ended up like this, right?”

A meaningful smile flashed in the depths of Rachel’s eyes. “Mr. Jones, you seem to be quite confident in yourself.” Her tone was flat, but her words were filled with harsh mockery.

Noah frowned imperceptibly and his gaze was sharp like a knife. He wished he could cut Rachel open and see what she was thinking in her head.

After pondering for a moment, he said calmly. “Rachel, do you really think David will come and save you?”

Hearing this, Rachel’s expression changed slightly.

However, this small change was enough for Noah to think that he had guessed Rachel’s plan and feel satisfied.

He could not help but smile and then he looked down at the watch on his wrist. “It’s such a pity that he’s busy enough with his own affairs in Seaxas, so I’m afraid Miss Grey can’t get away with this.”

Noah deliberately emphasized the last few words he said. His voice was powerful like a hammer.

Rachel did not say anything and just frowned slightly

Noah’s words echoed in her head. He just said that it was such a pity that David was busy enough with his own affairs in

Seaxas.

What exactly happened in Seaxas?

Could it be that David’s injuries had something to do with what happened in Seaxas?

While she was distracted, Noah got up and left.

When he reached the door, he paused for a moment. He turned around and took a good look at Rachel as his eyes glistened

Chapter 811 coldly

Although Rachel was only a young lady in her twenties, Marina had suffered such a huge loss previously when dealing with her that he knew he could not let his guard down against Rachel.

After he left, the interrogation room fell silent again.

When the people in the surveillance room saw how calm Rachel was, they were all quite curious.

“Tell me, why is this woman still so calm?”

“What else can she do? Do you really want to see her make a scene?”

That’s not what I mean. I just feel that all of this is too

Before that person could finish speaking, he heard some footsteps outside. Then, there was a knock on the door of the surveillance room. Someone pushed open the door and hurriedly said, “Gather in the conference room. Hurry!”

The three people in the surveillance room were dumbfounded. One of them was left to continue monitoring while the other two instinctively rushed out of the surveillance room.

In the conference room.

Everyone looked at their captain in confusion.

The captain was holding a document in his hand and reading it solemnly.
