Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 831

Chapter 831

“I shall think of a way.” David said.

Rachel was relieved when she heard his simple affirmation.

The worry in her eyes faded a little, and she looked at him with a relaxed smile. “Thank you. David.”

With that, she stood up and was about to leave.

David grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into his arms.

He leaned forward and breathed deeply into Rachel’s neck. His husky voice was especially bewitching. “Isn’t a simple thank you too perfunctory to show your appreciation?”

As David spoke, his palm slithered slowly down Rachel’s back and landed on her waist.

It was just a simple move, but that made Rachel quiver.

Her eyelashes fluttered in panic, and she was on her guard. “Then what do you want?”

They had spent a lot of time together, and Rachel could somehow read what David had in his mind.

David might look aloof and untouchable most of the time, but at night, his fiery desire to make Rachel his burned.

Her heart trembled uncontrollably at the thought of the soreness all over her body that was about to happen again.

David raised his eyebrows slightly and grinned like a handsome bad boy. “From what you are saying, it seems like you will say yes to all my requests tonight.”

“You better watch it and not push your luck Rachel glared at him angrily,

David could not help but laugh. “What are your plans for tomorrow?”

The out-of-the-blue question threw Rachel off her train of thought.

“Nothing much, actually.” She gave it some thought before replying.

David reached out and tucked Rachel’s hair behind her ear. He held her cheek and kissed her gently. “There is an event tomorrow night. Will you attend it with me?”

“An event?” Rachel’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

Rachel and David had not officially appeared together in public since they made their relationship official.

It was not because they felt the other party was not presentable, but David had always kept a low profile and did not like to attend events. That was why everyone described David Jones as elusive.

On the other hand, Rachel never liked to put on fake smiles and deal with hypocritical people. That was why they never really had the opportunity to attend events together.

David was eager to attend this particular event and even took the initiative to invite Rachel. The latter could sense that it was not just another event. That inevitably aroused Rachel’s curiosity.

David saw through her. “It is the opening ceremony of a bidding.”

“Since we are attending such an important event tomorrow, I shall go back to my room and have a good sleep.” Rachel quickly gave a solid reply.

When she got up to leave, David pulled her into his arms again.

His arm around her waist tightened, and he bent down slightly before literally sweeping her off her feet and into a bridal carry. “Tonight is the night, and a few minutes short of sleep will do no harm,” David muttered in his deep and magnetic

voice.

Rachel flushed and did not know what to say.

It was a long torrential action-packed night for the love birds. They welcomed the beautiful spring with their interweaving gasps and pants.

The next morning, Rachel stared blankly at the ceiling above her when she woke up.

The air still vaguely smelled of extravagance and romance, reminding her of last night’s wild indulgence.

Due to what Ronnie had said, her heart ached for David. That was what made her let David act upon his desires without holding back. And again, she was staggered by how far and long David could go.

Throughout the night, Rachel and David carried out their carnal pleasures from the bedroom to the bathroom, closet, couch, and back to the bedroom.

Thinking of David’s indomitable stamina last night, Rachel shuddered.

Rachel let her body linger on the bed for a while more before she slowly lifted the blanket.

The moment her feet hit the soft wool carpet, her knees buckled, and she fell awkwardly back into the bed.

“Oh dear, this was even more tiring than physical training!”

“You are awake?” David’s deep voice could be heard from the door.

Rachel jolted up from the bed and saw David standing at the door. He was already fully dressed.

He looked refreshed and absolutely gratified.

Seeing that Rachel was silent, he walked forward. “You can sleep a little longer if you want to.”

“I am good,” Rachel replied weakly. Her voice was a little hoarse.

She was stunned for a moment before her face darkened.

It must have been caused by her screaming and begging last night.

Seeing Rachel getting angry, David scratched the bridge of his nose awkwardly.

He had indeed gone too far last night.

However, he did not know how he could lose control the night before. All the self-control he prided on crumbled when he was with Rachel.

Her soft moans were like a feline’s coquettish purr. It was so soft and beguiling that it enticed and awakened all his carnal desires and roguish intentions.

The memories from last night made David gulp. He quickly suppressed his thoughts and itch as he squatted down and helped Rachel with her shoes. He promised solemnly. “I will definitely control myself better next time.”

“Yeah, right!” Rachel huffed.

To her. David’s credibility at this point was practically zero.

David remained silent.

After they got dressed, David held Rachel by the waist and helped her slowly downstairs.

In the dining room, Rachel was exhausted and did not have much of an appetite. She only took a few bites of her food.

David got up
