Chapter 73
A leopard never changes its spots. That’s my other way of saying a playboy will always remain a playboy, I thought to myself as I tore my gaze from the TV screen just as the
commercial ended.
Finishing my cup of coffee, I leaned back in my seat. I tried to sleep, but after an hour of trying, I gave up and waited for the luxury private helicopter to land.
When my private luxury helicopter landed at the airport, the splendid summer morning sky greeted my eyes as I got out.
The airport still looked exactly like the last time I saw it. Grey Gabriel Bradford owns this
place now, and I doubt it will ever look the same once he’s done with it.
While I was waiting for my car to arrive, I pulled my phone from my handbag and dialed Sophia’s number.
“I just arrived, Mom. How is Isabelle doing? I was wondering if she’s feeding on the milk I
left her.”
I had breastfed my daughter since the moment she was born. What worried me now was
that she might notice I was gone and refuse to feed from a bottle.
“Isabelle’s doing okay. We had no trouble feeding her from a bottle for the first time. She cried minutes after you left the house as if she sensed you were gone, but we managed to stop her from crying. She’s sleeping like an angel right now.” My mother’s long explanation painted a comforting picture. I imagined her standing by Isabelle’s crib, watching her granddaughter with a smile on her lips.
“Thank God!” I mumbled under my breath. “I’m just worried about nothing then.”
Sophia chuckled. “I know exactly how you feel. When you were born, I remember bursting into tears because you rejected breastfeeding the first time I tried it on you. I was so afraid you would starve. The nurse assured me that it was okay and to try again a few minutes later, and that’s when I stopped crying. Whenever I look back at that memory, I can’t help

but smile.”
I was smiling the whole time Mom told me the story.

When the call finally ended, I returned my phone to my handbag. Knowing my daughter
was fine felt like a huge weight lifted from my chest.
If only this trip wasn’t necessary, I would have sent one of my trusted employees to take
care of the job.
Heaving a sigh, I looked up and saw my car pull to a stop a few steps away from where I
stood.

My oldest brother was here in the country for a business trip. He left yesterday using the private family plane, and I requested him to bring my car so I wouldn’t have to commute to La Paraiso Hotel the next day.
My brother had told me he would send someone to bring my car to the airport when I arrived, and he had been true to his word.
Thank goodness! I don’t have to commute!
The car honked twice, and I waved my hand in its direction to signal I was coming.
As I was about to take a step, I accidentally collided with a woman. The Starbucks coffee she was holding in her hand spilled on her white dress.
She gasped in shock and stared at her ruined dress. “Are you blind? You should have been looking where you’re going!” she complained. Her voice was loud enough to attract several people nearby.
It wasn’t my fault. It was hers for not looking where she was going. But since I didn’t want the situation to escalate, I apologized.
Ignoring my apology, she said instead, “Stupid!”
Her head was bowed, and her fiery red hair covered the front of her face, so I couldn’t see

what she looked like, but the woman was elegantly dressed and had smooth porcelain skin.
She hastily grabbed her handkerchief from her bag and wiped the coffee stain on her white dress. But despite her efforts, the large dark spot on her pristine white dress remained. This only enraged her more. “Stupid bitch!” she repeated while still trying to wipe away the stain on her clothing, but to no avail.
It wasn’t my fault, but being called a stupid bitch was way too much for me.
I was about to bite back with a fierce reply when she moved, and the bag covering her belly shifted aside, giving me a glimpse of the swell in her middle.
The woman was pregnant!
After learning this, I bit my lips to suppress any words that might come out of my mouth that I might regret later.
Taking a deep breath, I was about to apologize when she muttered “idiot” under her breath. My plan to apologize evaporated into thin air. There was no way I would apologize to her again after she just insulted me.
Finally, she lifted her gaze to me, revealing her face.
Natalia Romani!
I stared at her in shock. For a second, I was unable to move.
She’s pregnant! Who could be the father of her child except for Grey?
Natalia didn’t recognize me. After throwing me a scathing glare, she furiously marched in
the direction of the restroom.
She’s out of my sight, and yet I’m still nailed in place. My heart was peating a little faster inside my chest.
Swallowing hard, I collected my scattered wits and made my way to the car.
I wasn’t surprised to see her; I was just surprised to realize she’s pregnant with Grey’s

child.

I was taken aback by a sharp pain in my chest. Ignoring the pain and pretending it didn’t exist at all, I hurried to where my car was waiting and immediately climbed inside.
When I got into the car, I was startled to find Luis, my oldest brother, inside. I knew he had a business appointment today, and I was quite surprised to see him driving my car instead of someone else.
“I thought you had an appointment?” I asked as I put my seatbelt on.

“It ended early,” Luis replied. He paused to maneuver the car onto the highway before continuing. “I want to make sure your meeting goes well, so I’m coming with you to La Paraiso Hotel,” he informed me.
My family is overprotective of me. Even without Luis telling me, I could guess either Sophia or Philip talked to him about accompanying me to La Paraiso Hotel today. I know my parents are worried about me, but they have reasons to be. The person I’m meeting today is
not someone to be trusted.
La Paraiso Hotel is not far from the airport, so we quickly reached our destination. My
silver Ferrari pulled to a stop right in front of the hotel, causing several people at the
entrance to turn their heads in my car’s direction.
Luis got out of the car and opened the door for me.
“After thirty minutes, if you don’t come out of the hotel, I will come inside,” Luis told me.
“My meeting will be quick,” I assured my brother.
