Black Rose: Revenge Of The Callous Heiress novel Chapter 22

Never had Sophia felt so embarrassed and angry. She wouldn't have let out her anger if it wasn’t for the fact that others were around.

Roseline, on the other hand, was pleased with the victory.

‘ Didn’t you want to play the role of a good mother? Well, you should know that it costs a lot.’

Mrs. Will invited Rose again to the party, and Rose played the same trick, looking at Beatrice in silence, implying it was all up to Beatrice to decide.

"Come on, Mrs. Gray. Cut the child some slack and let her go to the party. After all, I heard that Sophia would be attending as well. Don't be too strict with the poor girl." Mrs. Will, who understood what Rose meant with her gaze, turned to look at Beatrice and said with implications.

Beatrice's face was twitching with rage. She knew that Mrs. Will was implying that she was being biased towards Rose for letting Sophia attend the party and not letting Rose attend as well. However, there was no way she could explain herself without sounding disingenuous. All she could do was swallow her anger and nod, "Of course, of course, Roseline should go to the party."

A few minutes earlier, in the private VIP room.

A young woman who looked ravishing, with sharp facial features, a tapering chin, twinkling eyes, long curly hair falling on her shoulders. She was wearing a tight wine dress that reached just down her hips and revealed noticeable curves in the right places. She was absolutely alluring as her red painted lips stretched into a smile while she stared at the man that was sitting opposite her.

The man had a flawless face, an artwork of perfection. His chiseled face made him an irresistible object of desire. Even male peers would gaze upon him with awe and amazement. Especially those deep-set eyes, like they could see through your soul and charm you within seconds.

Unfortunately, compared to his handsome look, the man didn't have an expression on his face. Yet, he emitted a deadly and dangerous aura.

“Mr. King, we've been sitting down here for more than fifteen minutes and you haven't said anything. Is there something wrong?" The woman asked, flashing a flirtatious smile at Alex who hadn't spared her a glance ever since she walked into the room. Her secretary, who was standing behind her, couldn't help but sigh when she heard her boss.

‘She should really know when to cut some slack on her flirtation. Alexander King isn't the type of man that would easily fall for such a smile.’ The secretary thought in her head.
