Annie made sure she set her alarm before she fell asleep. She woke up when it rang, said her morning prayers, thanked God for everything and committed her wedding day to God's hand. Then she proceeded to the bathroom to do her business. She dried herself and got into her underwear and covered herself with her robe.
Immediately she walked out of the bathroom there was a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw her mom and soon to be mother in law standing there with bright smiles on their faces.
Annie's mom was with a tray of breakfast while Evelyn was holding a brown leather box.
"Good Morning Mommies." She greeted them with a happy smile.
"Morning my child" Angela kissed her right cheek, then she walked into the room and placed the tray of food on the nightstand.
"Good Morning Beautiful." Evelyn gave her a side hug.
"Excited about today?" Angela asked.
"Yes but I'm kind of nervous." She replied as she plopped down on her bed.
"It's normal sweetheart, but you'll be fine. I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle. This is a dream come true, my princess." Angela said excitedly as she sat on the bed to Annie's left and Evelyn sat on the other side leaving Annie in the middle.
"Mom." Annie groaned. "How many people did you invite?"
She smiled. "Not too many, about 28."
"My guests are more than that," Evelyn added. "Austin only invited his family members and close friends and I think Laura and Claire invited a couple of their school friends."
Annie sighed. "It's truly a big wedding."
"Anyways I have a gift for you," Evelyn said and handed her the medium size leather box.
"Thank you." She said as she collected it. She opened it and saw a Silver necklace. It was very unique and beautiful.
"My father bought it for my mother and my mom passed it to me so I want you to have it."
"Are you sure you want me to have it? I mean you have three daughters. Why me?" She asked politely.
"You are my daughter too, Annie. Besides, my mom wanted me to hand it over to the girl who would be lucky enough to capture Eric's heart."
"It's beautiful. Thank you." Annie said, then hugged her.
"Now I'm in conflict with which to wear today," She said as she pointed to the necklace she was putting on; the one Eric gave her on their first date."
"Wear this one for the wedding and after the wedding, you can change it to the one Eric gave you." She advised.
Annie ate her food while Angela and Evelyn engaged in some random discussion. Soon enough the hired makeup artist came and they started preparing the bride for the wedding. Angela and Evelyn left halfway through Annie's dressing to go get ready too.
"I bless God for choosing you for my baby boy," Evelyn said as she stared at Annie who was fully dressed in an elegant white wedding dress designed by her.
"You're so beautiful my love," Angela told her daughter with tears in her eyes.
"Mom, don't cry. You'll make me cry too." Annie pouted and her mom gently wiped her face with a tissue given to her by Evelyn.
Oh, Evelyn personally made her dress and Angela's dress. It was the same design and style but in different colours.
Evelyn had two wedding dress designs for a while. Even though she headed her family's fashion house, she had never been involved in all the wedding dresses made by other designers in the house.
So she invited Annie and Elaina to the office one day and showed them sketches of the design and asked them to choose one each. Since Elaina was the next in line to get married, she was allowed to choose a perfect design for her wedding dress.
The design Annie chose was beautiful too. It was a modern v neck off shoulder Wedding dress which showed the right amount of cleavage and she looked incredibly beautiful in it.
Evelyn made a mental note to start working on two more designs for Lucia and Laura.
Annie opted for her hair to be put up in a fashionable messy bun style.
"It's time to go. Austin told me Eric is nervous as hell by the aisle." Evelyn announced and they all chuckled.
Annie and Eric decided they wanted a church wedding. They wanted their matrimony to be blessed in God's house. So they settled to get married in Annie's Church. It was a very big and modern church.
Eric, on the other hand, was nervous as hell. He wanted today to be perfect. Not for him but for Annie.
Eric, his Dad, Best man and the groom's men got to the church on time. By then most of the guests had arrived and had settled down.
Dylan and Eric made their way to the aisle and soon enough it was announced that the bride was around. It was only then Eric let out a sigh of relief.
The whole congregation stood to their feet upon the announcement. First to step in was the little bride and the ring bearer.
Gemini, the four-year-old girl was carrying a basket of beautiful rose petals which she dropped on the floor every few steps she took. Lyndon, the ring bearer walked beside Gemini with a tiny pillow which contained the rings.
As soon as they reached the aisle, Eric squatted to their height and kissed them on their cheeks. He hugged Gemini and gave Lyndon a high five. Gemini and Lyndon were twins; they were Angela's sister's children.
