Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 109

Hearing this, Myra gave a thumbs-up. "No wonder you're in politics. My husband is truly brilliant!"

Terry glanced at her indifferently.

Myra clicked her tongue. "What kind of look is that? Can't I compliment my husband for being smart?"

"You're so cheesy."

"Terry, only I can put up with you. Anyone else would find you unbearably dull."

Terry calmly helped serve the dishes.

After a while, he said unhurriedly, "You're already loud enough. If I were just as noisy, our house would be unlivable."

Myra slowly turned her head, holding a spatula. "Are you saying I talk too much, Terry?"

Her voice was loud enough for those in the living room to hear.

Barbara quickly said, "Janice, don't mind them. Myra is always like this, but she's a good person. You'll get used to her."

Janice smiled and nodded. "I really like Myra's personality."

Though they hadn't spoken much, she genuinely liked Myra's straightforward and carefree manner.

At the dining table, Edward's attentiveness toward Janice was far beyond what they had rehearsed. After all, they were supposed to be pretending.

Edward served her food multiple times. Janice, thinking she should reciprocate, picked up a piece of chicken. Just as she lifted it from the plate, she felt a light nudge on her arm.

Janice paused for a moment, then placed the chicken onto her own plate instead. She turned to glance at Edward and spotted the amusement flickering in his eyes.

He seemed to be silently praising her, "Smart move."

Edward had never eaten chicken in his life.

If she had put it on his plate, Barbara would have immediately caught on and seen through their act.

Just then, Barbara said, "Edward, handle the issue online properly. Don't let it affect Janice's work."

Edward nodded slightly.

Now that the online controversy was mentioned, Janice chewed her food more slowly.

Terry, watching the two young people, slowly set down his cutlery. "You're both young. Things in life can happen suddenly. If there's ever a misunderstanding, talk it out. Don't let public opinion dictate your actions.
