Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 116

Barbara and Myra kept persuading them to stay, and Janice didn't know how to turn down their offer.

Edward glanced at Janice before saying, "It's fine. I need to get home and work on something."

Janice let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that. She was worried that the family's elders might see through their act if they stayed any longer.

After saying goodbye to Barbara and Myra, Janice hurried into the car and said to the driver, "Get us to the nearest pharmacy."

Edward asked, "Are you feeling unwell?"

"It's your hand." Janice frowned deeply as she noticed a particularly serious-looking wound on the back of his hand.

She muttered, "Why did you shield me in the first place?"

Edward glanced at the back of his hand. "Don't women care about their faces? If it had splashed on your face, what do you think would have happened? Besides, you have an appearance to make tomorrow. It wouldn't be appropriate."

Janice's heart wavered slightly.

When they arrived at the pharmacy, the driver went to buy the cream and quickly returned.

Edward placed the cream in front of Janice.

"Hm?" She was puzzled.

He glanced in the direction of the driver, and she instantly got the hint. It was only normal for couples to apply medicine for each other.

She quickly put away her phone and opened the tube of cream. She squeezed out a small amount and gently applied it to the back of Edward's hand.

His hand was warm while hers was slightly cool to the touch.

Edward's phone rang—it was a call from Calvin.

"Where are you?" Calvin asked.

"In the car," Edward replied.

"In the car?"
