Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 202

Summer Lowell was shocked. "Shirley actually dares to show up?"

Louis, however, withdrew his gaze. "Look carefully. Is that really Shirley Olson?

Hearing this, Summer took another close look at the woman wearing a baseball cap, who had now removed her mask.

Many members of the International Crochet Union had never seen Shirley in person. The competition's judges were changed every year to prevent bribery, so it was entirely possible that most had long forgotten what she looked like.

Heidi knew this well. She had found out that Shirley had only appeared publicly once, and given the time that had passed, it was likely that no one remembered her face. That was why she dared to impersonate Shirley so boldly.

Clutching the commemorative brooch, she stepped forward. As she passed Janice, she paused and raised her voice. "This woman has always been a fraud. Everyone in the domestic crochet industry knows it. To me, crochet is a classical and elegant craft meant to preserve culture. It shouldn't be tainted by seamstresses who only know how to cut corners."

Someone questioned her, "Do you have any proof?"

Just then, another voice rang out from the audience. "I can prove it!"

All eyes turned to see a man removing his mark, revealing a sharp, well-defined face. It was Simon Fitzgerald!

Janice smiled. These two really couldn't let her have a moment of peace.

"I'm her ex-boyfriend. We were together for seven years, and no one knows her better than I do. She never won first place in even a quarterly competition, yet suddenly, her crochet skills advanced overnight?

"I'm also an crocheter, and I despise people who buy their works to win awards. It's unfair to those who put in the effort and dedication."

The crowd erupted in shock.

Had Janice really bought someone else's work and claimed it as her own?
