Janice still needed another week of rest, so she didn't accompany Edward to the office.
At home, Edward had arranged for two maids and several bodyguards to watch over her.
With Onley Group entering Greenfield City, many companies were growing anxious. Edward was incredibly busy as business leaders scrambled to contact him, seeking an alliance.
Onley Group's reputation abroad was well known, and local businesses feared them. Their best option was to align with Prosper Stitch Group.
"Ms. Smith, Mr. Moore specially reminded you to rest before he left," Laura Barrett, one of the maids, said gently.
Everyone in the house had been handpicked from the Moore residence, and they were trustworthy individuals.
Meeting Edward's girlfriend for the first time, the two maids who had cared for him for nearly 20 years were naturally eager to take good care of her. Janice was not only beautiful but also kind and easy to get along with.
Janice, who was wearing her glasses and seated at her desk, was working on restoring the artifact left behind by Barbara.
Just then, the doorbell rang, and Laura went to answer it.
"Mrs. Moore."
Hearing the familiar voice, Janice carefully set down her needle and thread, preparing to greet Barbara. However, she was already approaching.
"Don't get up! You haven't fully recovered yet. Why are you out of bed?" Barbara scolded her.
Then, spotting the artifact Janice was working on, her expression tightened. "This can wait. You should be resting."
Then, she turned and said, "Laura, sort out the things I brought for Janice."
"Yes, Mrs. Moore."
Janice, however, didn't move. "Mrs. Moore, I'm fine now. I just have to avoid strenuous activity, but other than that, I'm back to normal. How's Calvin?"
Calvin was discharged around the same time as her. She had returned with Edward, but Calvin had already resumed work, so she hadn't been able to visit him.
