Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 256

Audrey's mouth was even sharper than Helena's.

Janice had been standing there for a full minute now. She made no move to intervene.

Only when Audrey turned slightly did her face come into full view. A flicker of recognition flashed through Janice's eyes. She had seen this face before. A slow smile tugged at her lips.

"Ms. Smith…"

Yvonne, noticing that smile, panicked. She thought Janice was really about to lose her temper.

"Come on! Break it up already!" she rushed to say.

Janice asked calmly, "What's her name?"

Yvonne quickly answered, "Audrey. She used to specialize in artisan crochet before switching to double-sided crochet. Out of all the new seamstresses we recruited this batch, her skills are the most impressive."

So, Onley Group sent someone skilled this time.

Audrey finally turned to face Janice, completely unfazed. Instead of looking guilty, she threw another vicious glare at the old seamstress.

"Ms. Smith!" The older woman clutched at her chest, fuming. "These new seamstresses don't respect their seniors at all! First, they worship foreign trends, and now, they're getting violent—"

"Oh, so it's fine for you to insult and hit me, but I can't hit back?" Audrey cut her off without hesitation. "Does old age give you the right to be shameless?"

The older seamstress nearly fainted from rage.

"Enough." Janice gestured to the others to return to work, then glanced at Audrey. "Come with me."

Audrey hesitated for a brief second.

She silently followed Janice toward the office, watching as Janice gave a few instructions to Marie along the way.

Her mind was already preparing for a lecture—not that she cared. As long as she didn't get fired, everything else was irrelevant.

To her complete shock, Janice personally poured her a glass of water and set it down in front of her after they stepped into the office.

For the first time in years, Audrey was completely speechless.

"In the crochet industry, seniority matters a lot. The older crocheters tend to be sensitive about it. Don't take it too personally," Janice said casually.
