Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 260

Elsie sneered, "With the way you scheme, a mother-in-law like you will ensure your son never finds a good wife in this lifetime."

Helena completely lost it. "How dare you curse my family like that?"

The room was filled with their heated argument. Simon's head throbbed as he clenched the small vial in his pocket so tightly that his arm began to tremble.

Helena lunged at Elsie, attempting to hit her. Instead, Elsie shoved her aside with force. Helena crashed into the edge of the table and collapsed on the floor, wailing in pain.

"You think you can bully people just because you're old—"

"Enough!" Simon roared.

The three women instantly fell silent.

For the first time, a deep and unmistakable sense of regret rose within Simon. He truly regretted it.

If Janice were here, this place would never have turned into such a mess. She would have tolerated his mother, taken care of household affairs, and kept his life in order. The more he thought about it, the more every good quality of Janice seemed to multiply in his mind.

He pointed at the door and said to Elsie, "Get out."

Elsie stared at him in disbelief.

Helena smirked as she stood up. "Did you hear that? My son is telling you to get lost!"
