Yvonne sighed and lowered her voice as she said, “That’s right. Mr. Fitzgerald brought in a new crochet team, give them many privileges, and left us suffering unbearable exploitation. We have no one to rely on. Now, the others have heard that you’ve joined Prosper Stitch Group, so they…” 

Yvonne didn’t finish the sentence, but panice understood. 

“Give me a rough estimate of the people in the old crochet team and message me.” 

Hearing this, Yvonne immediately asked. “Ms. Smith….” 

“May follow you too?” 

Yvonne was one of the seamstresses Janice personally trained. She was capable and reliable as she led the whole crochet team of Refined Threads Co. 

Janice lowered her gaze. “It you’re willing to, you can.”

Janice looked out at the window at the drifting leaves while feeling the rising chill of autumn frost. The residual warmth in her heart dissipated. 

Those from the Fitzgerald Durmily kept forcing her to the end of a cliff. 

Did they think she was easy prey because she had no parents and only a younger brother?

Simon scrambled to gather funds for the fabric procurement, but his account was frozen. He couldn’t access the money, so he was practically broke and helpless. 

He returned home with a sullen expression, his silence Intimidating 

“Simon, did Janice cause trouble again?” Sarah always thought Janice was up to no good 

“She even dared to defy me in public she’s no decent woman! How could a daughter–in–law contront her mother–in–law? If it were in the past, a daughter–in–law wouldn’t even dare to raise her voice she should be glad I didn’t make her wash my feet during her time here. Yet she’s ungrateful and lacks respect!” Helena fumed. 

“Enough” Simon roared. 

His mind was preocupled with untrering his account 

Some of the bank transactions had transter records, so he wasn’t required to submit proof for those. However, the funds that the court was investigating were all the investments secured by Janice. How could he find proof of the source of the funds? 

The transfers came from personal accounts without company names, making it even harder to explain 

if he couldn’t produce the evidence, his bank account would remain trozen. Eventually, he would be prosecuted 

That would destroy his reputation completely. 

With that, Simon was convinced that Janice did it on purpose to have him beg her.

“Simon, calm down and have some fruits,” Amelia, playing the role of virtuous wife, sald gently. 

But she was decked out in gold and jewels, with her face fully made up. Apart from the small apron, even het sweater was from a boxury brand. 

When she first came to him, she dressed so modestly, as if she had suffered greatly. Now, she seemed even plumper. 

How could someone with cancer gain weight so quickly?
